Excellent hotel one of the best I loved the location and free parking. The room was incredible and more importantly the staff were outstanding. I had a bike accident during ironman, and they really looked after me. I had someone helping me move my bike into the car, the room service was fantastic and they also called me to check to make sure I was ok in the room. When I come back to Bolton I’ll be sure to stay here time and time again! I’ve never felt so welcoming in a hotel right from the start, I had a few enquiries and they discussed these clearly. The room was clean and shower was great. Fresh clean towels and a comfortable bed. I was travelling alone and I felt so safe. It’s the little things that make this place incredible. The smiles, the friendly staff and everyone seemed to enjoy working there. The cleaners saying good morning/afternoon. The attitude the staff had was amazing. I was gutted to leave! Well done everyone and thanks again for a fantastic experience. I wish you all the best. To anyone that visits get yourself a cheesecake you won’t regret it! There was nothing to dislike

Superb Helpful staff, central location, good breakfast choice. The only issue was that the car park is pretty small and you have to be lucky enough to get a space.

for the short stay of 2 days for us it was great being in the centre of town and friendly staff we just used the room it was very clean and modern .The shower and towels were like new along with soap and shower products the room had a great feel about it and the bed very comfortable The water pressure was very low and the shower head close to the wall so it was difficult to have a good wash and rinse of the soap

Very good Staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly. I’d particularly like to mention Jade at the Holiday Inn Bolton as she was so nice, helpful and friendly. No air con, queue for breakfast. Also as a disabled person the room was too far from the lift.

Comfortable hotel accommodation convenient for Bolton and other local connexions by train or car Room was comfortable; breakfast offered a great selection; parking was free, secure and easily organized Our initial choice of twin room was not met, in spite of attempting to verify this during check-in, but we got moved to another room quickly and efficiently.

Stayed for 2 nights for my mums wedding. No bridal suite ready due to refurb so the bride was given interconnecting rooms instead(2 standard rooms with a door in between).
The hotel wanted to move the bride for the 2nd night into an executive suite (they told her this on the wedding morning when we came down for breakfast) however this was not appropriate given all the stuff we had for the wedding and the lack of time. One member of staff told us the executive was bigger than a standard… another member of staff told us it was the same size? The alternative was that the bride stayed in the standard room and another random guest would be staying in the interconnecting room, on her wedding night. Not the most thoughtful idea from the Hotel…. We were told the room was already booked before my mums wedding was booked (she booked it early 2020 before lockdown) so that is hard to believe.
Eventually this did get sorted however the bride could have done without this stress on her wedding morning before she’d even sat down for breakfast….
After breakfast (which I have no complaints about) we were stood around waiting for the wedding cakes which had been stored somewhere by the hotel. When the staff brought out the cake boxes (after half an hour of us stood around waiting on the wedding morning) the cake boxes were brought out in a different condition as they were when we handed them to reception. Of course the cakes inside were damaged…. The staff were asked a number of times to keep the cakes out of a fridge (and I’m sure it’s common knowledge that wedding cakes are fragile). This again was unnecessary stress we did not need on a wedding morning! Luckily the cake maker was a guest at the wedding and was able to bodge the cake back together. The staff that brought the cake out quickly disappeared when we brought it to her attention the cake was damaged and I didn’t see her again after. No remorse or apology? Do the staff working these weddings know how much these things cost? It felt like there was a lack of care, probably because of how busy they were though. There was a wedding Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Park life guests were staying. A coach full of elders were staying. There was also a bridal party on the Friday night staying who was getting married elsewhere. We were crammed in.
Everything else seemed to go as planned for the wedding. Wesley was great, very helpful and did a great job throughout the whole day. Jack behind the bar was also very friendly and helpful both nights. The chefs catered for a vegan (myself)-the lasagne that was specially made for the evening reception was delicious- thank you!
A double gin and tonic at the wedding bar was £12… for a holiday inn that seems very pricey.
The DJ could have been friendlier - he wouldn’t play one of my requests because he didn’t like it 🥴and he played The Contours - Do you love me about 3 times.
The hotel was clean and tidy and the choice of food at breakfast, and at the restaurant in the evening was great. There was a problem with the air conditioning so we all had to request fans from reception. We were dripping in sweat all day throughout the wedding ceremony and reception because it was so hot.
Wouldn’t ever stay again. Gave 3 stars because the food was good - thanks to the chefs! And the hotel was clean - thanks house keeping!

The room was spotlessly clean, but there was a bad smell of sewage down the corridor. The shower pressure was also poor. There was a loud drilling down the corridor that woke me up before 9am which after working a late night wasn't appreciated!

Great nights sleep Comfortable, cosy, clean, central location. Lovely service staff at breakfast. Better quality needed for some breakfast items: Orange juice watery, black pudding was black but with cardboard texture and taste, scrambled egg overdone.

The very special and long awaited wedding for Lauren, our daughter, and Steven took place last weekend. The hotel staff did a fantastic job, making sure that everything was put into place ready for the wedding ceremony and it looked amazing. There was a definite “Wow Factor” for everyone who was there. It’s here that we need to say thank you to Diana and Libby in recognition of their hard work in ensuring that all the wedding arrangements went to plan. In addition we now need to say an additional thank you to all the staff at the hotel who looked after us all during the weekend. They all worked so hard and fully deserve the thanks from all those who were there.
The only real disappointment was the guy doing the evenings disco music. Even though he said he would welcome and play any and all music requests it didn’t really go to plan. Granted he
played a very limited number of requests but the vast majority of his choices centred around clubhouse music and when asked for a change he was quite dismissive. Result was he lost his audience.
So all in all, a fantastic wedding venue and a great weekend.

Good size, rooms, friendly staff. As far as restaurant is concerned the food was good with sensible prices but I was waiting over an hour to get my dinner and wouldn't say it was very busy. Would I go to this hotel and use restaurant again - definitely yes.

Great staff, clean, good breakfast, disabled parking too small no dropped kerbs. Disappointed that air-con not working throughout the hotel during the hottest summer on record!
