Fantastic location and setting. The food was great and the spa was really nice with lots of facilities to choose from. Room was clean, well equipped and had a great view from the windows.

Lovely hotel. Staff always pleasant. With a smile. So nicely positioned near Manchester. Lakes. This is one of the best hotels I stay in. In the mercury chain. And I been to a few. Well worth a visit. Pool a plus to.

Amazing hotel! The rooms were massive, a little dated in deco but had everything you needed. The staff were very friendly and the grounds were amazing. So surreal that you literally turn off main roads to this tranquil serene retreat. The swimming pool and spa facilties were good as was the food at breakfast. They even catered for my plant based diet. My 18 month daughter loved the fact it looked like a castle, she felt like a princess. We would highly recommend and we will be back!

Nice Christmas party night. Good food and pleasant staff. Drinks a little pricey and some of the corridor carpets are a little tired but rooms are nice and clean and facilities are good. Overall a nice experience with a great breakfast!!

Beautiful historic building saved from demolition in the fifties due to the hoteliers.. If you are in the area for a stop over it comes recommended by friends. I have never stayed there as yet, as I am a 'local' but I have had afternoon tea there and enjoyed many a fabulous function where the food was top notch. On all the occasions I have been there I have found the staff to be approachable and helpful..
