Absolutely stunning historic building. Truly a place to relax, or get married etc. Beautiful grounds. And possibly a paranormal haven, as apparently haunted.

I just found it a very quick turn over when eating your meal taking plates before everyone had finished not professional at all and the food was only just warm although the plate was red hot couldn't touch it

Amazing 2 days we'll looked after there is building work goin on and did get woke up at 8am with them drilling and banging.

Treatments here are nice and saunas are lovely and refreshing. Think we came at the wrong time as they are decorating and where we slept there was an overwhelming smell of paint. The restaurant is over priced for the quality, I ordered the steak which was burnt and had to be sent back, was left waiting over 20 minutes for another plate although wasnt busy. The steak was served with cheap oven chips and an oily mushroom. The breakfast was much better, a good selection of food. I would stay here again at and skip the meal. :)

We came for a spa day..We wasnt shown around properly so didnt get to use all the facilities.. changing area was clean. Food was a little expensive but nice.. and the treatment was good..

We had a spar day booked with light lunch, use of the pool and other facilities. The parking was horrendous no where vacant for about 30 mins. We used the sauna all 3 of them as they had differing heat. All in all ok, but not something we would do on a regular basis.

Myself and my sisters checked in yesterday for the night for my birthday. As soon as we went in there was a very damp, musty smell. The room was clean and quite spacious but the window was leaking in, the window ledge was full of water and the carpet was soaking wet. We enjoyed the spa treatments and pool. The food from the Al a carte menu where not up to par at all. The steak burger was boring and tasteless, the apple crumble wasn't a crumble at all. More like a porridge oat pie. Very disappointing. The breakfast was satisfactory. Walking through the hotel one table had a tablecloth on it that was dirty and disgusting. Hours later it was still there. The only reason I gave it three stars was because of the staff. They where very friendly, chatty and helpful. Won't be returning for a second visit.

Lovely staff. Had a really great stay, the room was a bit hot but I think that's because we were above the spa's thermal suite. The aircon came in very handy. The food was very good. A small issue with my pudding but they gave 10% off our wine bill instead. Great service.

Only used the spa & pool area at this hotel so can not comment on hotel side. The spa, at best is mediocre. The spa area is in need of upgrade. We have had much better spa day experience in other hotels.
