The staff were extremely polite, friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and comfortable, we had an issue with no hot water in the sink but the shower worked fine, reception asked if we wanted to move rooms if the issue could not be resolves but we only had 1 more night to stay so not a big issue wethe dining room staff were helpful and friendly too the breakfast was lovely, we would definitely stay again

The hotel was clean and spa treatments were nice. We were disappointed to be told when sitting for our evening meal that it was buffet that evening. (No explanation as to why given, staff in the restaurant were under the impression we should have been told of this by reception, however when I enquired as to the reason when checking out they said this would have been a decision made by the duty manager that evening). The food was lukewarm and the portions dished out were smaller than your average portion. Each main dish on offer (chickpea curry, fish pie, chicken with mushroom sauce, lamb casserole and chicken wings, roast potatoes, mixed veg and rice) were not overly special and could have easily been cooked at home, and probably would have tasted better.
The bar steward was run ragged and had to work the bar by herself. Running table service orders, drink prepping and clearing and sanitising tables with just one staff member meant a long wait to get drinks as every table was in use. More staff needed!
We would return, but only if the restaurant was not buffet style in the evening.

Relaxing break in a beautifully refurbished room although I was very disappointed at how small it was after reading many reviews about the huge rooms 🤷🏼‍♀️ No phone service or internet beautiful bathroom but shower was not good ☹️ Also bathroom door wouldn’t close. Would definitely stay again but not in room 26 lovely bar and with very friendly staff 😁

Its ok because the property is very dated and of course because of Covid we could not experience the facilities but location was great for business purposes

Please don’t recommend Brownhill Taxis in future. The taxis we ordered arrived late, were barely road worthy and the drivers were rude. On top of that, they charged £35 for a journey that should have cost no more than £17. Use Max Cabs instead.

Nice hotel, friendly staff ... Our room was next to a large air conditioning unit so noise for most of the night.... annoying, and frustrating menu ok but not brilliant....hence 4 stars

Easy to find however very limited menu for room service only. Room very tired decor wise and no phone in room despite having to order food via reception.

Great hotel, lovely building and grounds. Best of all the staff spoke to my son (5) on check in and not me, so he got to feel like he was really in charge. Little things like that cost nothing but mean so much

This hotel looks very modern inside room 106 and had a particularly excellent bathroom, with a nice backlit mirror and shower with two different heads that ran hot water instantly.
We stayed in a family room which had two very comfortable chairs, two big mirrors ideal for getting ready to go out and a large HD TV. There are many power sources all over the room. Also supplied were iron, ironing board and hairdryer.

I did not stay over at this hotel but had a spa day through red letter days at this location and yes I admit the reception at the hotel was rude but luckily the spa and leisure staff at the reception area (Richard) was very welcoming and genuinely made us feel so comfortable we had a very lovely time and excellent treatments from the spa too. The pool area and sauna rooms where nice and clean also the lunch was absolutely delicious. I would definitely book for another spa day here with friends.

Stayed for a Spabreak.
Spacious room. Newly refurbished as well. Food is top extraordinary, specially the sticky toffee pudding. Therapists Ella & Geeta are superb at their job. Only recommendation is to open access to the Leisure Club and Restaurant within the building rather than walking outside the building in this weather.
