Stayed here for the Pendle witch tour weekend ,although in places the building needs some TLC the staff here are very welcoming and attentive , it was extremely warm this weekend , we requested a fan and it arrived within 20 minutes , the check in was brilliant , and a special mention to Courtney our waitress for the weekend , always a smile on her face and always attentiveand nothing was too much trouble , keep being you Courtney you're a star

A wonderful and relaxing stay – highly recommended!
We had a fantastic stay at Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa. The hotel has a beautiful character and a peaceful atmosphere, making our stay feel really special.
My wife is pregnant, and we had requested a quiet and comfortable room. We truly appreciated the consideration given to our request, and it made our stay much more relaxing. The staff were welcoming, friendly and always helpful.
We really enjoyed the swimming pool and leisure facilities. Everything was easy to access, and the complimentary towels were a nice touch. Our room was comfortable, and we absolutely loved the Elemental Herbology toiletries – the shampoo smelled amazing!
Overall, it was a peaceful, comfortable and memorable experience for us. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to couples looking for a relaxing break.

Came to the hotel for a weekend of Pendle Witch Tours and ghost hunting. Had a fantastic time. The staff pre so friendly, especially Courtney who was waiting on us in the portrait room.

We stayed at the hotel after a military ball. The staff were very helpful, especially Priaya on reception and Isobel who was a member of the waiting on team. Our room was spacious and the comfortable beds helped us have a good night's sleep.

Amazing day!! Was treated to a full spa day with treatments for my 21st with my mum. The spa facilities were amazing and clean!
My treatments were done by Mia in such a beautiful treatment room with relaxing music. She did such a wonderful job and left me feeling so relaxed after my facial and scalp massage!!!

From the moment we arrived, the hotel impressed us with its beautiful historic character, lovely facilities, and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations.

Her warm smile, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help made us feel valued immediately. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to encounter such outstanding customer service, and Arica is a real credit to the hotel.

Julia the receptionist greeted us with a smile - she is fantastic, she is warm and friendly and even shared some interesting facts about this hotel. My experience feels even that much greater knowing that I'm staying in a castle that was once considered someone's home. The rooms are massive and everything is easy to get to.

I was a little hesitant before eating here after reading some recent reviews saying the bar food wasn't very good, but my experience has been completely different.
I've eaten here twice now, having the burger on one visit and the pie and mash on another, and both meals were excellent. The food was well cooked, tasty, and great quality.
The staff have been friendly and welcoming throughout my stays, making the whole experience even better. The facilities are also a real highlight – the pool and gym are clean, well maintained, and a great addition to the hotel.
I'll definitely be staying here again and hope the hotel continues to maintain its current high standards. Based on my own experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Mercure Blackburn. It's a lovely hotel with great facilities, excellent staff, and, in my opinion, very good food.

My friend and I travelled up from the South and stayed here from 12 - 15th June as we were attending a photography event nearby for the weekend.
The hotel is very boujee what with the paintings and staircase. The staff were very polite especially the restaurant staff (Sara, Mia, Courtney, Amanda & Theo) during my solo dinner evenings.
We had a slight mixup with the rooms but no problem to move from one area to another. There was a wedding event going on at the same time so I hope that all went smoothly as it looked well organized and had a beautiful cherry blossom archway too.
Thank you very much for having us there and hopefully will visit again if our photography event returns to the area.

Brilliant stay. The spa is lovely and not too crowded. Courtney, Sara and Mia in the restaurant were amazing, a credit to the hotel. The two lads on the bar Caleb and Liam had great conversational skills and hard work ethic. Will definitely be coming back! Breakfast was also stunning
