Lovely weekend stay at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa. The hotel was beautiful and the room we stayed in was stunning. A special thank you to the receptionists, Arica and Chuti, who were both so welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay again!

Stayed 2 nights and loved it. Pool facilities on point and the vapour sauna was great! Kids enjoyed it too, staff were pleasant, especially arica and chuti from reception

Beautiful place & the staff could'ent do enough. I had a special weekend with my son & this was accommodated in every area-our bedroom was huge & comfortable. Definately returning

Julia the receptionist greeted us with a smile - she is fantastic, she is warm and friendly and even shared some interesting facts about this hotel. My experience feels even that much greater knowing that I'm staying in a castle that was once considered someone's home. The rooms are massive and everything is easy to get to.

I was a little hesitant before eating here after reading some recent reviews saying the bar food wasn't very good, but my experience has been completely different.
I've eaten here twice now, having the burger on one visit and the pie and mash on another, and both meals were excellent. The food was well cooked, tasty, and great quality.
The staff have been friendly and welcoming throughout my stays, making the whole experience even better. The facilities are also a real highlight – the pool and gym are clean, well maintained, and a great addition to the hotel.
I'll definitely be staying here again and hope the hotel continues to maintain its current high standards. Based on my own experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Mercure Blackburn. It's a lovely hotel with great facilities, excellent staff, and, in my opinion, very good food.

My friend and I travelled up from the South and stayed here from 12 - 15th June as we were attending a photography event nearby for the weekend.
The hotel is very boujee what with the paintings and staircase. The staff were very polite especially the restaurant staff (Sara, Mia, Courtney, Amanda & Theo) during my solo dinner evenings.
We had a slight mixup with the rooms but no problem to move from one area to another. There was a wedding event going on at the same time so I hope that all went smoothly as it looked well organized and had a beautiful cherry blossom archway too.
Thank you very much for having us there and hopefully will visit again if our photography event returns to the area.

The breakfast was excellent and Lenny couldn’t do enough providing excellent services with a smile at breakfast. It was refreshing to meet such lovely staff.

Brilliant stay. The spa is lovely and not too crowded. Courtney, Sara and Mia in the restaurant were amazing, a credit to the hotel. The two lads on the bar Caleb and Liam had great conversational skills and hard work ethic. Will definitely be coming back! Breakfast was also stunning

Spoken to Mark on reception about the history of the building he was very informative and also shown me around the building and given a little history talk about each room.

We stayed here as part of a coach holiday. Nice place, staff were helpful and friendly. The food was really good, both breakfast (buffet style) and dinner with a good choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts each of our 4 nights. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

As part of a coach party we were treated excellently despite the hotel catering for several marriage and business events. The head waiter and a lovely slim waitress in particular made the party very welcome. The ground floor room was spacious with good walk in shower.

Attended a business event once again last week, hotel looks stunning from the outside and is a great location; looks a little tired inside in some areas, on this occasion the food was absolutely amazing, hot, fresh well presented, and hopefully this is the future after a few average visits over the years, well done team Dunkenhalgh Hotel..
