Came today with my little sister for the princess afternoon tea. There was a lovely gentleman called Aziz, he was super helpful. My sister has autism and struggles with foods so couldn’t cope with the cheese and ham sandwiches. Aziz came to check everything was okay and when I explained about her autism and how she was struggling with the food, Aziz couldn’t help enough. I requested a jam sandwich for her and was told “of course, whatever she wants to eat” and was even given option of types of bread for her!! The lad behind bar in the pendle suite was lovely, also super helpful. I believe he was called Oliver.

I have stayed at this hotel three times now and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Rooms are very clean and well equipped, breakfast is great and all the staff that I have met there are very helpful and polite and friendly. Great place to stay.

I couldn't genuinely give a review on the rooms, as I didn't stay over. However, we had a spa day with treatments. The hot stone massage (back, neck and shoulders etc) which also included foot and leg scrub, head, neck shoulders and scalp massage was the best I have ever had. Masseuse was called Sarah for anybody wishing to book the same one. Thank you. Feeling ultra relaxed now!

Another comfortable overnight stay.
Only complaint is orderrd the grilled chicken breast from the Grill Menu. In the past this has comprised a grilled chicken breast served with fries , mushroom and tomatoes. What we were served was a chicken suupreme with herby mashed potatoes and creamed vegetables. When we queried this we were told fries etc only came with steaks.
The dish was extremely tasty but the menu should be amended to mske clear what is being served. Also we might have had an allergy.
Please update menu.

Nice hotel, good location. Great big rooms in the courtyard area. Service in the bar could be a bit better and possibly the worst wifi I have encountered. Travelling for work and unable to carry out basic tasks using the terrible connection, barely enough to receive emails

A superb hotel which exceeded expectations. A lovely room (we were upgraded to an executive room) with lovely facilities including an excellent shower; fabulous food for breakfast and dinner; lovely sitting areas and a brilliant spa; excellent spa treatments; amazing staff, in reception, the bars, the restaurant and the spa-everyone was pleasant, friendly and couldn’t have tried harder to make our stay for my mum’s birthday perfect. Will definitely stay again. Thank you particularly to Sara, Carla and smiley Amanda in the restaurant who were all awesome

Came here on a overnight bus trip only thing that was a nuisance was we was a group of three ,we was put in rooms at opposite ends of hotel,that said the rooms were lovely and well thought out and comfortable food -dinner & breakfast couldn't fault really enjoyed stay here

Came to check in receptionist struggled to help me so pawned me off onto her colleague. What was meant to be a relaxing stay with my partner ended up with feeling like a problem for the receptionist (I think she was called Julie). Only redeeming factor was the receptionist we’d been pushed over to “Erica will help you if you want to go over to her” Erica (I hope that’s right) was dealing with all sorts of issues at the desk anything Julie deemed too much work for her it seems. Poor girl needs a break after all she went through.

Fabulous staff this weekend who looked after us all. Mal who was on the bar spoke so nicely to the other members of staff which was lovely to see. Carla and Eden were also superb and efficient with our 3 course meal. A well put together hotel and team work.

Stayed at the lovely dunkenhalgh hotel the week commencing 6th May 2026 from the moment I entered I was greeted by the lovely priya he made sure everything ran smoothly and easily.
Before entering the scenery bar and was served by the amazing bar tender Chloe, she gave me excellent service at the table which allowed me to relax after a long travel and even went out her way to explain everything on the bar menu as I am gluten free.
Later this evening, I dined in the restaurant and even just the settings was perfect before being directed to my table and served by a nice ladys named Courtney and Carla. Courtney went out of her way to speak to me about my plans for the week and overall did everything to make me feel comfortable.
I would just like to say thankyou dunkenhalgh and Id recommend this place in a heart beat.

This is a beautiful but now slightly dated hotel (single glazing so some M65 noise, no aircon, poor wifi when we visited) but with excellent service at breakfast, dinner, reception and throughout.
Please beware "offer" emails from Accor though - in our experience, these are usually just prepayments that don't actually give any discount, and hotel staff are not informed about what Accor are saying - the new computer system isn't currently helping. Staff even found and posted my wife's lost phone - we're relieved it arrived back OK without wrapping!
Overall, great place, food and folks, just be realistic about its age and the corporate comms...
