Becki Fishwick, is well known in Barrow and Furness as a wedding and events singer and of course more recently for her love of Pugs!
On April 10th Becki brings Pugrock to Abbey Mill where Pugs are invited to come along with their families to enjoy a wonderful afternoon out in aid of St. Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston.
Jackie Baxter of Abbey Mill Coffee Shop, plays host to what is set to be the biggest grumble of Pugs the South Lakes has ever seen. There will be food, drinks, cakes and ice creams available from this lovely dog friendly café situated next to The Furness Abbey which is surrounded by beautiful scenery and lovely walks.
The Pug Dog Show will be the hi light of the afternoon and owners can enter their Pugs into one or more of the following categories;
1. Cutest pug puppy
2. Best dressed male
3. Best dressed female
4. Best fancy dressed
5. Best trick
6. Funny face
7. Special recognition (courageous stories, support to humans etc.)
8. Best in show
Each category entry costs just £1 per Pug and the money goes to charity – with prizes for Pugs sponsored by local businesses.
Join Becki and Rose the Pug at 1pm for registration outside Abbey Mill, and to collect a competition entry form. At 2pm we have walkies and the Pug Dog Show will begin at 2.30pm
Pugs adults and children are welcome to dress up and join in the fun and games. Remember anyone can come to PugRock and you don’t need a pug to attend, however the only dog breed that can come are pugs or pug crosses!
