Our new favourite pub in the Lakes. In an ocean of touristy overpriced and poor quality establishments this place stands out as an exception. The food and drinks choices, friendly service and all round feel of a genuine local all contribute for an excellent overall experience

The staff are very friendly and helpful, service is great. The only problem was the bedroom where the beams on one side of the bed in Room 3 and the beam in the bathroom are just at dangerous level and I bumped into it many times. There are no shower curtains round the bath making it hard to shower. But overall it's a lovely hotel.

A great old fashioned pub/restaurant. The staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. The facilities are clean and very nice. The food and drink was very nice with good portion sizes. It was a little cold inside but with the fires going it would be very nice.

We loved staying at the White Hart, it was just perfect - location, breakfast, dinner and our room. Awesome food, even if you have dietary restrictions (in my case gluten free). We felt very welcome and everyone was extremely kind. Great for dogs and kids as well!

Excellent country pub with exceptional food served. Also handy little green light beacon for spacious car park to be seen at night due to lack of street lighting.
Sunset view here taken from the White Hart car park behind the pub.

Lovely local pub, very welcoming. Busy (sign of a good place!) and so really enjoyable for the patient folks. Don’t be going you’re impatient or in a hurry (relax instead!).

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here, our room was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed.
The staff were friendly and the food including breakfast was lovely, great ingredients and cooked perfectly.
Every person we met in the village was very welcoming and friendly which made the stay that much more enjoyable.
We will definitely be back here when in the area, what a beautiful country pub and so aesthetically pleasant.
Top marks all round.

Well, we went back again!
Dined here last Sunday and we were looked after by the JJE (Jess, Jude and Ellie).
Went back yesterday (Thurs) and once again had a super lunch with 'Tracy the Trouper' looking after us. She made sure we had a fabulous experience and it was a pleasure to meet her.
Tracy is a top worker and a fab person to represent your establishment. 😁👍👍👍

Great spot for a Sunday lunch, called in on route home by chance and had a really good meal. Would recommend this place, old world decor with log burners and some interesting and eclectic pieces.

Lovely friendly village pub!
Stopped to have a bite to eat, I chose the lasagne, it was beautiful. Home made, the meat was lovely. It was very filling. Very happy with the portion size.
The Staff were so polite, welcoming and friendly.
There's also a beer garden round the back. Plenty of seating, with stunning views! It really is a peaceful little area.
It is very traditional and its lovely and cosy inside.
I will definitely come back here.
