English Wine Week is a national campaign, designed to raise awareness of English wine across the country through any retail outlet - from supermarkets to pubs and clubs.

Vineyards across England will be opening their doors to visitors, offering tours and tastings.  There are a huge number of activities taking place across the country to celebrate English Wine Week this year.

In the South West there are events being held in Okehampton at Eastcott Vineyard, in Swimbridge at Summermoor Vineyard, Camel Valley Vineyard in Bodmin, Oatley Vineyard in Bridgwater and Castlewood Vineyard at Axminster.  For more information regarding dates and times please visit the website at  www.englishwineproducers.co.uk

A glass or two from a lovely bottle of wine can put the special touch to an evening with friends or family in the house or at a nice restaurant.  There are more than 400 wineries to chose from in the UK.

So where can you purchase home grown wines? - Waitrose is one of the few major retailers in the UK championing our home grown wines.  From Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc to Pinot Noir there are almost 30 British wine varieties growing here right now!

White, red, dry or sweet there's sure to be the perfect taste somewhere in those English wines to suit every palate out there - now's the time to find yours!

Enjoy, Relax and Drink Responsibly!
