Mens Health Week takes place from 13-19 June 2016.
The week is organised by the Men’s Health Forum (MHF), an independent charity that aims to help men and boys by tackling inequalities and issues affecting their health.
Formed in 1994, the MHF aims to help by focusing on groups of men who have the worst health and seeing how they can make a difference, whether it be through physical activity or mental health problems.
Throughout Men’s Health Week, the charity will be holding a variety of events. The theme this year is 'Together We Can Beat Stress'.
The MHFwant to promote healthy living and well being in men.
It matters because if we don't release stress, it can turn into something more serious.
This year, one in four of us will develop a mental health problem. That is odds of 3 to 1. Or about the same as France or Germany winning the Euro 2016 football. In other words, it's likely to happen sooner or later if we let stress build
The purpose of the awareness week is to promote health and there will be lots of fund-raising events taking place for the charity.
To find out more and get involved all you need to do is visit the official Mens Health Week website.
