There are a few pre-conceived ideas about golf, its a game for men, you need loads of money to buy the kit, its only for rich people! But that couldn't be further from the truth and places like Portmore Golf are fully open and inclusive to all player, of any age and particularly keen to encourage more girls and women to have a go at the game. Coaching is free for girls aged 14 - 25 and the coaching takes place at Portmore Golf Park on Saturdays from 5 - 6pm for 16 weeks starting xxxxxx.
Even if you miss a few weeks its possible for you to turn up and getting the professional coaching from Andy and some of the ladies who play at the club. Their encouragement and warm welcome will give you all the motivation you need to return again for another week. And you will be amazed at what you can achieve, learn and improve in just a few weeks.
There will be a 2 week break on the 30th July and 6th August. All equipment is provided, players will need just £2.50 per session for a basket of balls to use on the driving range (where you practice hitting the ball).
At the end of the course everyone will be offered a 2 month membership at a cost of £15 (normally over £70), and will have access to a set of clubs to play. The membership entitles them to play as often as they like for the 2 months, and at the end of the 2 months, they have a chance to join for the rest of the year at a discounted rate £15 per month, and upon joining, they will each receive a free set of clubs for them to keep, worth around £100.
