When you catch up with friends for a coffee and a cake do you love to soak up the atmosphere and take in your surroundings? Now when you visit The Boston Tea Party in Barnstaple you can be wowed by the artistic talent on display. For the whole of May the students work will be downstairs in Boston Tea Party for you to enjoy.

The students have been researching line, texture, colour and pattern in their art lessons and have produced preparatory work.  They then used these designs to plan a final piece which they painted onto wooden boards. These we hope will inspire you to get creative as these are also the students examination work.

The textiles examination work will also be on display. So why not head over there and appreciate some beautiful art work in the knowledge that these pieces have come from very talented little fingers. They studied a range of techniques including printing, batik, embroidery and machine work to create baby tag blanket's based on nursery rhymes they chose and all of these techniques are on display for you to see. So indulge all of your senses with your caffe latte including a visual display to amaze all.
