Steve and Karen Moss, Principals at Project:Dance! Devon were delighted to see their dancers and actors recognised with Distinctions, Highly Commended, Merits and Passes in their UKA exam day on 27th February. The school teaches dance, drama and musical theatre and the examination entrants ranged in age from 7 to over 70 years old.

Top marks were achieved in every exam group for dance like Modern Ballroom, Latin American, American Smooth and Tap. What was so encouraging was that exams were taken at every level from Intro 1 for new starters and beginners, through Intro 2, 3 to Bronze, Silver and Gold medal level.

Project:Dance! Devon offers supportive and non competitive dance coaching for all ages and all abilities. Most students choose to take the exams as a measure of the progress they have made and to continue their learning with Steve and Karen and Roisin and Sally helping in classes and at the examination centre. Miss Janet Lowe was the examiner and she commented on how much progress she had seen from all the students and it was a credit to them and their teachers.

Two people to note on the day, Sheila a wonderful lady who recorded a distinction for her 3rd Gold Bar in Modern ballroom. And Tom a young actor taking his first drama exam who received a distinction and reduced onlookers to tears with his performance.

Well done to every one involved. And do get in touch if you want to give dance a go. Call 01271 308107
