Holiday Inn Preston is ideally positioned in Preston city centre, with easy access to the M6, M55, M61 and M65 motorways. Located next to Preston Bus Station and within walking distance of the train station, it offers excellent transport links for guests travelling from across Lancashire and the wider North West region.
I have stayed a few times at this particular holiday inn. Tonight has been the best. Dyan working in the restaurant is absolutely superb and a credit to the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. She is kind, attentive and just a lovely lovely lady. Dyan thankyou for making my stay so wonderful. I very much hope to see you again.

Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa offers luxurious rooms, a relaxing spa, fine dining, and elegant event spaces in a stunning 700-year-old country manor nestled in Lancashire’s countryside.
Positives – spacious rooms and excellent facilities. We especially loved the spa, particularly the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna — exactly what we needed to start the new year feeling refreshed. The room was spotless, large, and very comfortable. It was also beautifully decorated as a surprise for our anniversary, which made our stay feel extra special.
Negatives – only two small drawbacks. The bed was made up of two singles zipped together to form a king, and the toppers kept separating. The other issue was that the spa is located in a separate building, requiring a bit of a walk and feeling slightly maze-like to get to. Also worth noting: additional robes and slippers aren’t provided, so keep yours with you until you’re finished at the spa. Towels, however, are unlimited.
Overall – 9.5/10. A fantastic stay with plenty of nearby dining options, 24-hour reception support, comfortable rooms, and great spa facilities.

The food was divine; we highly recommend the prawns in arrabbiata sauce to start and the fillet steak for the main course. Absolutely cooked to perfection! Hats off to the chef and the entire team of waiters and waitresses for creating a genuine 5-star dining experience.
