We stayed here using a voucher and after reading some of the reviews I didn’t expect much for the money! But wow- the room was dated but clean and comfy. We ate in the pub and the food was nice although they seem to drown all salad in dressing! The communal areas all very modern and stylish! We had a drink in the bar too- a good selection! Breakfast could be better but we both found enough food we liked! I’m still waiting for my £50 deposit to be returned which I will chase after a week but would definitely return!

Would recommend We have stayed a few times now. Staff are polite, rooms are great especially the dog accessible courtyard rooms, location is great... especially for dog walking and the spa is a nice bonus relax after being tired out by the dogs! Would definitely recommend, great value for money.

Beautiful hotel, staff and surroundings I have stayed in this hotel many times and always love my stay here.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
The rooms are lovely with all facilities working well.
The spa facilities are lovely.
There are three restaurants to eat in and all have lovely staff and delicious food.
The village of shops is always a pleasure to walk round giving a really lovely relaxed feel to the stay.

A lovely place to stay and sow ell situated to enjoy lovely scenery and walks. Our interconnecting rooms were perfect in giving us a shared experience of privacy and 'space' to chill out. Being situated close to the spa was very convenient. We all loved the pool and spa!

Lovely hotel will stay again The hotel was lovely , and the spa was lovely and the room was a nice little cottage All the staff were lovely that we dealt with , all I'd have to say is I heard the way some of the restaurant managers or I'm not sure they are but some dressed in a suit and a woman dressed in managers uniform , but the way they spoke to the staff sometimes were awful and you could see the staff working away and they were very polite but I didn't see the need to be spoken to the way they was

Won’t be returning and won’t recommend The character of the hotel was lovely, the food was great too. We ended up with a suite room and the sofa was so uncomfortable to sit on and that was the only way to watch the tv. The spa was very disappointing, overlooking the car park

Just checked out from a 5 night stay. Hotel is lovely and I really liked the spa. My daughter went swimming most nights, when home from filming and enjoyed herself too. Think the staff may have wondered what I had done with her during the day while I went in the spa :-) Thank you for the upgraded room! Suited us really well and we loved the space!

Great location and good food Near to the motorway. Great sized room for a family of three. Bar food was good and had child's menu. Breakfast offered a good choice. Staff were lovely and friendly. Views were beautiful. Thinking of returning near Christmas. Personal preference - needed slightly flatter pillows. We were on the second floor so window lock only allowed the window to open a small way meaning it was quite warm in the room.

Good hotel for location of friends house Quaint Check in was terrible, young girl more interested in her colleagues talking to some young guys, the other gentleman asked for her to assist which she did very reluctantly. She didn’t offer the breakfast deal that we saw the next morning and she literally told us to go left through that door, we were in a cottage room which when we eventually found it was beautiful and it was thanks to one of the very helpful cleaners and no thanks to the young girl that checked us in

"A fantastic weekend getaway! We stayed in a dog-friendly room which was perfect for us. The spa and leisure facilities were fantastic, we had lunch in the bar which was nice. A beautiful spot to completely unwind and celebrate a special occasion. Highly recommend!"

I would stay again! Great facilities and very clean! Lovely clean rooms, facilities are great! The food wasn’t great, breakfast the porched eggs were hard, the bacon wasn’t cooked and at lunch the bread was stale! The food was advertised with a side of veggies for the kids but we didn’t receive anything. We pointed out these issues to staff who were great and assisted us but for the money you pay to stay there we shouldn’t have to!

Return visit to reliable hotel. Rooms have kettles and tea bags and milk, beds are comfortable, showers are good. Spa is great (although 1 steam room needs foxing after 8 months...). Coffee and egg roll or croissants at the bar in the morning, drinks in the evening. All good.

Really nice location. Plenty of parking. Room was nice and clean, bed comfy everything as expected really. Spa facilities were great, generous time slots and staff helpful. Only thing was the lockers in the changing rooms need some money spending on them, they not great. There’s a pub and a cake shop on site and a few other artisan type shops. Would definitely go back.

The spa facilities were great. The room was comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. The bar and restaurant were great. The bathroom was a little dated and the room felt it could be updated.
The Drop Inn bar was a little rough around the edges.

The property was a great location. The bed was very comfy & the room was spotless We didn’t have our robes on arrival. I also requested (over the phone and via email) for a birthday slab. I was reassured on reception it was in the room, it wasn’t
