I visited whilst falling ill with a flu. The staff on reception, the bar and housekeeping have all been wonderful. One gent from the bar team even helped me buy some lemsip.
The burgers and pizzas are really good, and breakfast is a great selection.

Superb location to the town and public transport - bus station. Beds were very comfortable and room clean. Air con in the room and instructions on how to use were excellent & worked very efficiently.
Having the option of a bath in the room was a luxury and plenty of hot water was available.
A over the bath Shower was also available.
Staff were helpful & very friendly.
Food served to the group was adequate and different to the menu that was served to other guests from the main hotel menu.
Overall impressed at the standard and enjoyed the overnight stay.
I was with a group of travellers on a coach tour so cannot comment on the price as it was included in the overall tour costing.
Would def recommend or stay again if in the area.,

Stopped off for an hour before going for a job interviw and needed a quick lunch and a change of shirt. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and the fish and chips exceded my expectations. Keep it up everyone.

Overnight coach trip stay. Room excellent. Service in bar & restaurant very good & friendly. Had a 3 course meal which was adequate. However there was a limited choice left for a dessert at the end of the meal.

Right in the heart of town, easy to walk to from the train station. Close to main streets and food options, everything is walkable!

Used this hotel for a training event. Superb set up for it. Staff excellent - Amanda particularly. Food very good. Highly recommend.

After a long day of travel, I was greeted warmly by staff and had a lively dining experience - Dyan especially looked out for me and was wonderful! Will book again for sure next time I’m here!

Breakfast was great plenty of choices for everyone. Rooms nice and clean and beds comfy. The staff very friendly and helpful especially Dyan and Jess who went that extra mile to make us welcome.

Went for a Training Course. Whoever is responsible for the cleaning deserves a special mention. Absolutely spotless. The meal we had at lunchtime was delicious. Presentation, quantity and taste was phenomenal

Dyan is always friendly, welcoming, and has a wonderful smile that makes guests feel comfortable and valued. What impressed me most was her amazing memory. After meeting me only once, she remembered my room number and even the food and drinks we usually ordered the very next day.
She has a natural ability to make guests feel at ease and always knows the right time to check if we need anything, without ever being intrusive. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care for guests have made our dining experience much more enjoyable.

Excellent facility for meetings and courses, Amanda and her team met all ours needs with a professional and attentive service. If you are looking for a course or meeting space I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn.
