Sue Appleby and Alison Gedge, who are members of Walmersley Golf Club in Bury, have reached the final of the Daily Mail Ladies Foursomes which is being played next week at the famous St. Pierre Golf Club in Chepstow.

Salford Quays really has become an iconic place over the past year or so, and is evidently continuing to flourish in 2013. Not only is Salford’s MediaCityUK now the home of the BBC, (and soon ITV too), but the nearby Water Sports Centre on the Quays now has its own great developments too. The 8th April will see the opening of a new ‘wake-park’ on the Quays, as part of the already thriving water sports programme.
The Bury Sports Awards provides an opportunity for members of the community to gain recognition and reward for their outstanding contribution to sport in Bury. The awards are also designed to celebrate and highlight individual sporting achievements over the last twelve months.
