STEM4 founder and CEO Dr Nihara Krause was presented with a cheque for £15,250.00 by the staff at Schmidt Kitchens Wimbledon. The money was raised at the 2015 Schmidt Wimbledon Charity Ball.

This is the second successful Ball held by the Schmidt Kitchens Wimbledon team in aid of STEM4, the local Wimbledon charity.

STEM4 aims to promote the early identification of teenage mental health problems, in particular eating disorders, addiction, self-harm, anxiety and depression. Information is provided through the STEM4 website, school workshops and inter-school conferences to students, their families and teachers by qualified mental health professionals.

The 2015 Schmidt Wimbledon Charity Ball in aid of STEM4 raised £15,250.00 for the local Charity which will enable them to grow and expand their offer and area, whilst allowing them to continue the work they are doing with families in and around the Merton Area.

The Ball took place on October 10th, World Mental Health Day and was held at The Richmond Golf Club. There were over 120 people in attendance bidding on some fantastic items in the nail biting live auction including a bespoke marble table from Diespeker and a custom made Little Black Dress from Emma Hunt that was kindly showcased by @ladywimbledon.

Everyone's amazing generosity really surprised us when bidding on items. Then the main event and attraction for the evening...

Donated for the live auction was an amazing fully fitted Schmidt kitchen worth 20K. The Director of Schmidt Kitchens Wimbledon, Ryan Marfleet kindly donated this fabulous prize for the wonderful cause STEM4.

Dr Nihara Krause, Founder and CEO of STEM4

"We are grateful to Schmidt Kitchens Wimbledon for organising such an enjoyable evening which raised so much money.  The first Ball enabled us to launch 'Calm Harm' our first smart phone app for self-harm and this year the amount raised will go towards the development of other smart phone apps as well as further projects".

Charley Jones Commercial Relationship Manager of Schmidt Kitchens Wimbledon

"Schmidt Wimbledon are delighted to have had another successful charity gala event raising money for STEM4.  Guests were treated to an evening of luxury in the Beautiful setting of Richmond Golf Club. The reception raised on the night was £15,264.00. We are absolutely delighted with the result. We have raised over £37,000 for STEM4 in just over a year with these events. It is important for local businesses to support the community and STEM4 is the perfect cause.  We look forward to raising more money for them this year!"

Charley Jones also added...

"We would like to thank all the businesses who have contributed to helping making this event possible, including all of those who donated time, money and products. I particularly would like to thank Leigh Miller of Leighwood Lofts & Extensions for his continued support in sponsoring the event".
