We hosted another successful bestofwarwick local business networking evening this week at Hill Close Gardens, Warwick. It was our 5th networking event so far and actually the first time we've gone back to the same venue. And just to be clear, all the venues to date have been superb! Its just that by rotating the venue it means each event is a bit different & is another way for us to promote and showcase some of the great venues and businesses we have in Warwick.
So this month the venue was Hill Close Gardens, Warwick. The bonus this time over last was that the light was on our side, so people got to see the great view of the pristine gardens when they arrived at around 6.30pm. Many Thanks to Pattie from Hill Close Gardens for having us there and helping setup.
It was great to be able to present the first of our Best Of Warwick Business Awards, presenting Ardencote Manor Hotel, Country Club & Spa their winners certificate for the Most Family Friendly Business Category, and then Outermotive VW Camper Van Hire who came highly commended in the same category.
We had a good turn out with just shy of 30 local businesses there, and a good mix of business types with virtually no duplications. As always we began with the infamous ice breaker game. This gets taken more seriously each time we do it now and this one ended pretty quickly! Overall this was my favourite event yet. Perhaps that was because its getting less stressful organising these types of things (!) or maybe because the atmosphere was great. Friendly yet positive and purposeful with lots of business happening.
A special mention must go to Sean & Gemma from The Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel, Warwick who turned up so fashionably late that it was pretty much all over :) There was a bit of a mix up with the time which I will take the blame for. Luckily we all saw the funny side of it and they still managed to meet quite a few people and enjoy a drink. Roll on the next event planned for late November!
