We always have a lovely time visiting the park, playing in the play area, having an ice cream and walking through the lovely grounds - very clean and well maintained

This is a very attractive location. I think a more accurate description is 'Park' rather than 'Arboretum' although it has many types of mature trees. All the paths are good and you can easily spend a few hours strolling around. The new visitors centre and cafe is a high quality building but the cafe itself could be better. The serving area is quite small for the staff (drinks made on top of fridge) and no mugs were available on the Saturday we were there, so paper cups with rather insiped tea it was. There were no tongs to pick up cakes, which were displayed under cover but in the sun by the window. The carpark, some distance from the main park area, is also closed for some work at the moment but you can park on a grass area.

Overall we would visit again and the exercise and play areas are great for kids.

Very nice, big, clean spacious park, including children's play area, however there could be more of the swings dotted around the park, as there was not enough and we had to wait for a baby swing.
Nicely maintained and a lot of to space to do your own thing, can peddle around on boats on the lake along with tennis/badminton courts, table tennis courts.
Ideal to have a stroll around on a nice summers day. Not too far from Walsall town centre, but depending on when you go parking may be an issue.

Couldn't believe this was hidden away. Lovely park suitable for any age group. Have lots of different activities on at various times of the year.

Relaxing walk through a lovely park which changes throughout the seasons. Lakes and woods, with walkways throughout. Seasonal special events. Great place for the family and amazing that it is located right in the middle of Walsall.

I have to say I'm in my 50's now and even from a young age we came here. There was a lot more going on back then. There were the peacocks and other birds plus the shallow pools to go in and of cause the boating lake and rides.
Now the pools have all been replaced with climbing toys on soft rubber. No peacocks. The boats are now back on the lake. But if the weather is good then still a nice place for a picnic and to play.

Enjoyed walking around here. There are plenty of seats and a lot of walks to do. Lots of ducks etc to watch and there is children's playground too. A statue to Jerome K Jerome is at the entrance too which pleased my husband.

I remember the "arbo" from childhood when it was the poor man's blackpool and my parents took me to see the lights. Now I'm much older it's great to go back and enjoy the other side of the arboretum. Apart from the main area, the extention has a super playground and skateboard area for the young and not so young. But my favourite has to be the old.municipal golf course. Unrecognisable now as it's been converted to a beautiful walk way. We use it all the time and it's expansive, quiet and great for exercising the dogs (and us). The only downside is the opening hours. I guess due to council buffet cuts it closes much earlier now than it used to. We're forced to park outside the gates and walk in, for fear of the car park being locked. Other than that it's brill. Kept beautifully clean and free of litter. You always feel safe walking the extension. Lovely at all times of the year

What a wonderful place to while away a few hours with the kids. Lovely open spaces for them to run wild and a very wide avenue / walk way with plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes without worrying anyone walking around.
Newly installed cafe and information centre is a boon and the Arboretum presentation on the whole is fantastic!

Spent a great day with my grandson here, great play and splash area for him and a great time spent on the swan pedalos.
The walks are fantastic and we had some great games of football.

This place has a lot in. Half turn for skaters. Kiddy play area with a splash pool. Lake with paddle boats. Open air gym. Wild fields. feildsTennis courts. Picnic benches. A concrete path around. A cafe. Open grass area for anything.
Because of all this, it is usually busy.
Parking near the kids play area can be an issue.
But it's a great park to go to.

Since its revival the Arboretum has never been so beautiful. Easily accessible for buggies, wheelchairs and able bodied this park now is well used and loved. It is great to see so many types of people use the facility.
The visitors centre recently built is also considerate of its surroundings and the cafe could be a real goldmine.

Spent lovely days at the play park and on the boats over the summer. It was clean despite the number of people and had lots of different facilities for all ages. Only issue was the water kept going off in the splash area and it was awkward to turn on again!
