I went on a led bike ride with Bikeright this afternoon. I've never been there before .
I was very pleasantly surprised at how big the area is, and how many different things there are to do for all ages.
Pedalos on the lake, a land train, tennis courts, play ground, water sprays for the children, "church in the park" was setting up.
Would definitely come again.

Brilliant for families for a lovely walk round the lake & take in the brilliant light show & the lazor lights in the lake. Parking is in a nearby carpark & a bus takes you to the entrance. Well recommended for a good family night out. Only thing that spoils it for me is the prices for the food.

kids on hols again, getting bored/fed up. take them for days out, cheap and cheerful.
for the more mature of us it's just nice to get out and have a walk around this park,
plenty of seating to people watch.

Excellent. So much for young ones in the play area, as well as lots of open space. Very clean and a great way to spend a day out with all the family.

This place is lovely for young kids in fact there's something for everyone.

It's a mint day out that has minimal costs.

It's easy to find located near the town Center there's adequate easy parking in the car park provided and also has throughout the year brilliant events like fairs classic car shows and fireworks too

There are other attractions close by too including food places

On wet day good path with plenty of room for dog to run around.
Dog bins available. This was in rural area not the formal park.

A very old established park near to Walsall town centre. It has a children's play area, boating lake or if you prefer big open grassed area's. Good for walking or just sitting down to relax. At the top end of the park is where the big events are held.

Visited here with my 2 children, I have been here quite a few times now, red hot day, absolutely packed out, find a spot by the splash pad, but just a bit difficult to keep your eye on both children at the same time, but all the same a great free day out if you ever got the weather!
Toilets aren't great, but I think they have always been the same way, there is now a cafe and Swan pedalos but haven't used either as I think the pedalos are quite expensive for the time you have, and I've heard the cafe is as well, but still I have always liked the arboretum and I'm sure I'll go back there many tines over the coming years.

I didn't realize how nice a park the arboretum is. I started park runs earlier in the year, and have discovered how well kept it is, what a range of plants there are, and the layout is very accessible for all. The visitor centre is very informative, it has a nice cafe, clean toilets etc.

I'm very pleased it is my local park run so will spend many more Saturday mornings there, but I do visit other park runs when I'm away from home, all I can say is Walsall Arboretum is one of the best.

Our first visit to this attraction .
We found parking relatively easy but our advice turn up early else we believe this could be an issue unless on foot or coming via bus.
The children's play area was well laid out with clear view of the whole area making it easy to keep an eye on your child while playing . Lots of benches so you can sit and relax .
A superb high pressure splash park which is available throughout the school hols and was happily being used during our visit.
Parkland was well maintained and very picturesque.
The lake area was the only place which needed attention with floating rubbish around the edges including unfortunately a dead duck not very nice to see .
Apart from this issue we would recommend a visit and take a picnic .

Walsall arboretum is a big expanse of parkland which has something for everyone. The children have a good play area with water play too. There is a big lake for fishermen or bird watchers . Dog walkers frequent the park as there are lots of fields at the back for dogs to run free. There is a lovely new visitors centre. The bandstand often has local groups playing. There are often events in the park set up by local businesses, dog shows etc. There are travelling fairs and circuses who also frequently visit. It's just a very pleasant place to be

I'd you are going good into Walsall town the arboretum is a must see, there is a boating lake and there are also boats for you to enjoy a relaxing afternoon, there is a very nice cafe there too, the staff are very helpful too, you can also enjoy a pleasant walk around the back of the arboretum where it's has nature intended it to be, I was lucky to see a woodpecker and they do make a noise, there are cheeky squirrels too

Weather was a bit 'iffy' but the arboretum park at Walsall is just perfect, even better now that the refurbishment is finished. The swan pedalos on the lake is just finishing touch - wonderful, wonderful.
