Me and my wife went for a walk around the Arboretum on a Sunday afternoon. It was our first visit for awhile and we never know why we don't go more often there is lots to do and see it is easily one of the best local parks you will visit.

Beautifully kept, large lake (ex Lime pit) and long walks on fully tarmacced paths. A real gem. Short walk from town centre and railway and bus stations. Plenty of buses to/from town centre (National Express WM 8,89,10,7,6, Arriva 3,25) 2 stops

It had been quite a while since i have been to the arboretum and many improvements have taken place. I went with my two dogs and thought it was peaceful but busy, there was plenty of room for all. I did not try the coffee shop on this occasion. I will be returning very soon, well maintained, keep up the good work!

Decided to visit the Arboretum for a Sunday afternoon stroll. We have not been here for about 19 years and was nicely surprised by the overall look. It was all very well maintained and ideal for families with prams or disabled people, as most of the paths were flat. It was quite busy but seemed quiet and relaxing.

This is still a very enjoyable place to visit..a big "well done" should go to all concerned starting with Walsall Council. Councils get criticised for a lot of things but they have performed well here.

The Caterers took over about a year ago and still operate to a high standard. The park itself is very enjoyable and the Visitor Centre is excellent with great facilities.

A lesson for Sutton Park, not far away.

I use this park most weekends to walk the dogs, it's well worth a visit has great facilities such as a boating lake, well equipped play area, tennis courts, bandstand, cafe and visitor centre.
There is also an outdoor gym, football pitch, skate park and walkes.
Free car parking is limited but available.
It is well worth a visit and a great asset to Walsall

A beautiful setting in the middle of urban Walsall. Lovely place for a tranquil walk and to escape the rat race.

Went here with a friend to have a wander round. The only downside on the day was that the restaurant was really slow serving food as there was only one person serving and the kitchen seemed to be very short staffed as well, so we waited about 45 minutes for a bowl of soup! But the arboretum itself is a beautiful and tranquil spot in the middle of a very busy area! I knew of its existence but had never been and went round with a friend on my mobility scooter-access is very good! I would recommend it as a place for a short walk when you need a bit of green space in a busy schedule: the water area has lots of ducks and geese so was fun to watch, and the general feeling is one of peace, even though it is by the very busy ring road and near to traffic. You hear the traffic noise, so it is not entirely quiet, but this is muffled by the many trees and hedges, and it is well worth a visit!

As there was no admission fees to be paid, as well as no parking fee although I feel that on a busy day, finding a parking space would be tricky, the arboretum is a great way to spend some time outdoors whether for walking or cycling without breaking the bank. Some paths can be a bit muddy on rainy days but most of the foot paths are well paved. There are some local clubs devoted to walking, cycling, and juggling based here so if you fancy joining one, look them up on some local adverts posted online or at the Central Library (I don't know however, if those clubs charge some membership fees so better enquire). There are large man made ponds with wild fowl although the groundskeeping staff advise that the wildfowl be fed with seeds (available for sale at the Information Centre) instead of bread scraps.
