This park has great facilities and the revamp in progression currently is looking even better if not making the park more enjoyable. Their are many events that take place in the park and plenty for kids to do. Walsall town is nearby within walking distance too. Overall lovely park for the family.

It now has a lovely cafe and excellent toilets, which just about finishes the massive development that has been made over the last few years. This really is a top venue for all ages, especially during these summer months. Hopefully it will continue to be supported by Walsall B C.

A really great Victorian park which is both beautiful in summer as in winter, great for walks runs and any of the usual park activities, and you can even get food at the recently opened visitor center. If you're in Walsall the Aboreteum is the one thing you should try and visit.

This park has a good mixture. A pond with ducks and swans to feed, boats to row a cafe that is clean quick and cheapish. Well maintained gardens, park with young and older kids stuffs. A stream and bits of woodland and natural growth. Good place to visit with children of all ages.

Super place to walk around, has everything. From the north carpark by the golf club follow are path over the bridge which all children like to play Poo Sticks. This leads on to a large open area ideal to play football or to have a pic-nic. Follow the pathway along the edge of the park through a small gate which leads to the bowling greens & tennis courts. Turn left follow pathway to a small brook turn left and follow brook down to the new Cafe, stop for coffee or tea with a dog friendly area with tables.Out of the cafe follow pathway around the lake where one can purchase a fishing plot for the day, go on the new swan boats or feed the ducks.Continue to follow the pathway around the pool past the town gate then turn right to follow a nice tree lined area through to the children play area. This is the most fantastic place for families with small children , our kids played for hours on the rides and in the fun water area. Its totally safe for children to lay in as its totally surrounded by a gated fence and in the summer months there is a warden on duty. Out of the play area turn right past the state board trail and five aside footy pics which is an ideal venue for teenagers.
As stated its the ideal place for families, children and teens and there are plenty off quiet spots for us oldies. oh! there plenty of parking to.

We go to the arboretum alot with both the children and the dog. It is a beautiful park with lots of lovely walking routes around it.The children's play park is great although very busy on in hot days due to the splash pad which is very popular with children. On a Sunday during dry months there are bands playing in the bandstand and we have really enjoyed our visits.

As our local park we visit the Arboretum quite regularly the last time we visit was the firework display. I have to say were disappointed with the display it really wasn't great but the the Arboretum itself is great especially in the summer when you can go out onto the lake.

Having a young family and firework displays usually don't go quite as well as planned. Most of us return home cold, covered in mud with a sleepy child draped over one shoulder. Walsall's attempted display this year was a far cry from the norm, with excellent accessibility and paved tracks throughout there was not one spot of mud on anyone's boots, so we are immediately off to a good start! The display itself was very good, with a myriad for "bangers" of all shapes, sizes and colour, there's was plenty to keep everyone happy in the coldness of the autumn night. All in all a great display and I would recommend it to anyone.

Our cycling club stopped at the cafe for a breakfast . Got to say it was lovely and warm , spotlessly clean , and considering the lady behind the counter was on her own she coped very well when we all turned up unespectately .

Had a lovely, sunny walk around the arboretum, spending time looking at the ducks, geese, moorhens, coots and gulls on the ponds. Stopped for lunch at the new Visitor Centre. Wonderful planting in the gardens. Would have preferred cafe to use less plastic/polystyrene and more paper/recyclable materials.

Had a lovely couple of hours in this magnificent park, leaves are all turning and this is the perfect Autumn landscape, good playground for the children, suitable for ages 12 and under. Plenty of ducks top feed and a nice cafe, parking for 2 hours free !!! :) right out side the park, what more could you want for a couple of hours in a well cared for park

I visited The Arboretum recently with friends for an Indian music event and walked around the park too. We were impressed by the new buildings near the lak and the fact that it seems to be finally being cared for, after years of neglect. It's fair to say they it has been abused by the public in the past and I hope that this is the start of it being valued as a special resource by visitors. I don't live in Walsall any more but I have special memories of the park as a child, picnics with family, and the brilliant Illuminations, then bringing my own daughter here and I am very pleased to see it in such good shape once again.
