Having recently had a major revamp costing over a million quid the arboretum has something to offer for young and old alike . There are splash park for kids during summer months, skate park, boating lake with Huge swan shaped boats ( bit pricey though ) tennis courts , outdoor gym . There is a cafe in the new visitors centre if you fancy a snack . You can park on the newly refurbished car park near the grange playhouse ( off the Broadway) and in summer catch the popular land train down to the lakeside ( for a small tariff ) does get quite buisy in summer months and at events but this well maintained park is worth a visit

Victorian park and extensions. Loads of variety, short walks, long walks; something for every one. Lakes with ducks and swans to entertain the children, and extensive children play-area. Cafe for coffee and snacks, toilet facilities, beautiful gardens, fresh air and relaxation. Quiet areas, if required. Access from all areas, with car parking nearby.

Lots of towns should be extremely jealous of this wonderful area in Walsall. Fantastic Victorian park covering many many acres with wonderful lakes, trees and flowers. Up until recently it used to host the illuminations which would attract thousands to come and visit over the period it was on.
It still hosts circuses, fairs and specific events and is a great place to take the family

This is a lovely place to walk your dog as all dogs must be kept on a lead. The park is well maintained and very pretty. There is also a lovely cafe. Lots of entertainment goes on throughout the year. Well worth a visit.

On the first unseasonal really sunny day of 2017 we enjoyed an excellent Carvery meal and then decided to walk of the effects with an afternoon in Walsall Arboretum.

Having not been there for a number of years we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and peaceful it was, despite there being many couples and families out enjoying the facilities.

We had a very pleasant walk around, enjoying the surroundings, watching the pedalo swans on the lake and the children feeding the ducks (you can buy proper food there, bread is not recommended. Bad for the wildlife and terribly polluting).

There is a café serving hot and cold drinks and snacks. Also a good number of picnic tables and benches if you wish to take your own food and drinks.

All in a very happy afternoon, the pleasure heightened of course by the unseasonally warm weather.

Best place to walk the dogs and let them run free - most dog owners are pretty good at controlling their own. plenty of bins. lovely in the summer- though a little crowded on weekends when the weather is nice. but the new renovations over the last few years - the cafe etc - have made it a really nice place to spend from an hour to a day there.
