Popped in for a pint whilst on a business trip. To be honest given the expansive menu selection i did not expect much. I thought it would just be standard pub grub. However, after ordering the food arrived in super quick time and the price was more than reasonable.
Great tasting food and well presented. A few Indians eating Indian meals in this pub has got to be a great sign. Worth a visit

The best place to go for either chicken biryani with lentil soup or a grill. Big screen TV to watch any big games, a beer garden, friendly atmosphere. However would not go there if I fancy a curry. The layout of the place is very cosy and we come here very often. Can be a struggle to park on a busy day.

I have reviewed the vine before giving it a 2 star review. They say hindsight is 20/20 and whilst I believe my initial review may have been somewhat candid, at that time it was true. Since my first review I have visited the vine on numerous occasions. I cant knock the taste of the food, service is quick and to an extent I can understand the paper plates and location of the menu board. This place has improved, even to the point my recommendation of "give it another go" is being expressed to friends or family who have previously been disappointed. Got to give the vine credit it must be tough to keep standards high in such a busy place.

Discovered this place recently and have been back a few times.
Everything we've tried there has been excellent - but the Chicken Tikka from the BBQ and the Naan Breads deserve a special mention.
The King Prawn Masala also hits the spot.
If you're in the area and feel like Indian Food - don't hesitate - just go!
The location is odd, in a street that is more 'industrial estate' than anything else, but don't let that put you off.

Looking at the entrance to The Vine you wonder if it's safe to enter - it strikes you as a really old fashioned, tiny, locals boozer. When you get over the threshold it opens up into an expansive, airy Indian restaurant with superb food. After working out the somewhat byzantine menu / ordering system you're very glad you made the effort as the food is quick and excellent. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area!

First impressions when we turn up was oh dear !! but don't be fooled by the outside the food was awesome and the staff friendly the place is like a tardis its a huge venue and very good value for money.
I'd recommend the clay pot curry and the BBQ tikka chicken as a starter yum yum.
We'll be back.

You must try this little back street pub in West Bromwich
The food from the BBQ is second to none, the chicken tikka is to die forIf you love a good curry then please try The King Prawn Madras it has to be one of the finest k/p curries I have ever had the privilege of eating

The exterior looked tiny and very traditional old pub with a couple of rooms at the front but has a a large airy conservatory with the bar. This has a menu on boards down one wall for curries, rice, poppadoms which you order and pay for at the bar. There is a very large area further back where you order tikka, ribs seekh kebab and naans.-They say 10 mins to come back to collect and pay separately allow 15! I enjoyed this and didnt bother with a curry, had another tikka portion after an hour. Very spicy ,delicious and only 4.25. Staff were fine , perfectly polite , lovely chatty young man at the bar stood out. Husbands curry and rice was a really large portion which could have fed 2 easily and they also did chips for those that like them. Would have given 5 stars if the system of ordering from 2 different areas had been explained as it took some head scratching and feeling a bit stupid asking staff twice what to do

A large group of us went for food to which i must say was well organised and the food quickly and promptly served ...... but after our group left 3 of us decided to stay for drinks only to be met by a rude tired looking barman his attitude was disgusting and was rather rude to say the least so my handy hint would be dont ask for coffees ect as it obviously causes them great distress and stop of at mcdonalds instead x

nice food but the staff and service let it down . in the bbq area ordered our food and was told they are closing that area as we were half way through our meal and was expected to move tables mid meal which we then said no . staff took our drinks away when we went to get cutelry and wouldn't given us another one despite only having one sip

Heard about the vine and how it had a good reviews,so we decided to go the family.
The staff were friendly and polite ,but a little on the slow side cleaning the seating areas,I'm going to be honest here, the one waiter used a dirty bar towel to wipe the table, and no cleaning sanitizer spray was not used, there was food debris on the seats and flooring, you had to get your own eating utensils were every customer touched the utensils,we ordered our meal which took around 10 minutes, the balti dish was tasty and freshly cooked.in over all the food was good, but the utensils service needs to be addressed a bit better

Had been recommended this place, we hadn't booked one of our local restaurants & it was Saturday evening. What a pleasant surprise - once we had sat in the conservatory & read the menu on the walls & ordered at the bar. Onion bhaji was big enough to share, chicken curry & a lamb madras with pilau rice & nan in generous tasty portions served very quickly. We will be back to try the indoor barbeque soon.
Highly recommended.

When you approach The Vine from the outside, you wonder whether you've found the right place. But whilst it looks like a dive of a pub in industrial wasteland on the outside, it's wonderful on the inside and the food and prices are superb. We came on a family visit and agreed that the curries were among the best we've had. Very decent service too!

Came here whilst on a business trip with a large group. We all agreed that the food was fantastic. Not only did it taste good, it was very reasonably priced and the portion sizes were generous to say the least. The bar also offered a lot of different ales, beers etc. However, the only let down was the service. Everything felt rushed and not once did any member of staff help with how we were to go about ordering food. The whole group felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff.

The food here is very good and excellent cask ales make the perfect accompaniment. However it does feel rather like you're eating in a canteen. The staff don't help - special mention here of the barbecue staff, who seems to reluctantly serve you and seek every opportunity to talk down to you and to make it worse then get your order wrong!

Visited 2 nights in a row while in the area on business (staying at Park Inn - it's only 5 mins walk)
Don't be put off by the location or the external appearance.Inside the place is clean, has plenty of space (it's like the Tardis inside) and has a good range of drinks an food on offer at reasonable prices.
The indoor BBQ is a novel idea and the food is cooked fresh in front of you.I ate from the grill one night and had kebab, and the next night I had a curry. Both meals were tasty and good value.
Overall a great find tucked away off the main street.

Visited on a Saturday early evening. Easily found a table in the Conservatory bit rather than the Barbeque room, which struck me as a little enclosed and dark. Started at the Barbeque (where else?) Had the famous Chikken Tikka which was cooked to perfection and some Sheek Kebab. I dont know what it is about the Vines Barbeque, but these two dishes are super spicy, perhaps that is part of the attraction. Thouroughly enjoyed them though with the addition of a couple of the green chillis provided at the sauce table. Then moved on to Lamb Rogan Josh with Pillau rice and some massalla chips, together with Chicken Tikka Sag and a nan. Lamb was very tender, and the Chicjen Tikka Sag had a good flavour, however I felt they were both overshadowed by the spice of the starters, so lost some of their flavour I guess. The nan was excellent. Didnt think that the Pillai rice was very good, but the Massalla chips were novel. Hadnt got room for any more, the whole thing came to under GBP30. Still good value although prices do seem to have crept up of late. I would urge anyone who likes curry to give this place a visit, if onlt for that Barbeque experience

Very good, hot and tasty food, with a good selection of beers and ales, staff can be a bit moody but if you had to work Saturday night with everybody else having a good time we may be a bit moody lol.

Usual pre match trip to The Vine before playing the Baggies. Great food, good beer and atmosphere, possibly the best away day experience in the Prem. Bittersweet as we won 4-1, but ended up relegated, so no more trips to The Vine for a while :-(

The food here is beautiful, with a good atmosphere! Only problem I came across was unhelpful staff... Not all the staff were unhelpful tho thank goodness. I do recommend eating here, the food dissolves the annoyance of a few bad staff.

As a curry lover, I think if this pub was my local I would be eating curry every night!! I have been to The Hawthorns many times and only found this pub the other night. I would definitely recommend it to any away fan who fancies a pre match meal and/or drink. They have a great selection of curries and BBQ at reasonable prices and I will definitely be back next season. Despite being busy getting served at the bar was not a problem as the staff were friendly and efficient.

staff are really helpful! And very polite :) ... We have a 1 year old son and everyone takes there time to say hello to him and interract with him, the BBQ is amazing... And the main meals are a good portion, seen people complain about the price? You get what you pay for! And if you like a good meal and don't mind paying for it! Then it's perfect :) .. You can always take the rest of your uneaten food home :)

Food was nice, every time I visit here I try to convince myself to go back but never ever do? I found the food to be okay but the ordering system is complicated and rare, curries at the bar as you go in and grill at the bottom of the place?? Overpriced but ok
