The food here is beautiful, with a good atmosphere! Only problem I came across was unhelpful staff... Not all the staff were unhelpful tho thank goodness. I do recommend eating here, the food dissolves the annoyance of a few bad staff.

As a curry lover, I think if this pub was my local I would be eating curry every night!! I have been to The Hawthorns many times and only found this pub the other night. I would definitely recommend it to any away fan who fancies a pre match meal and/or drink. They have a great selection of curries and BBQ at reasonable prices and I will definitely be back next season. Despite being busy getting served at the bar was not a problem as the staff were friendly and efficient.

staff are really helpful! And very polite :) ... We have a 1 year old son and everyone takes there time to say hello to him and interract with him, the BBQ is amazing... And the main meals are a good portion, seen people complain about the price? You get what you pay for! And if you like a good meal and don't mind paying for it! Then it's perfect :) .. You can always take the rest of your uneaten food home :)

Food was nice, every time I visit here I try to convince myself to go back but never ever do? I found the food to be okay but the ordering system is complicated and rare, curries at the bar as you go in and grill at the bottom of the place?? Overpriced but ok

The vine is a great place for a comfortable night out but also busy and full of atmosphere with quick service good prices and brilliant food. Curry's are varied and plentiful but you can't beat the BBQ food especially the chicken tikka and the fish. A great place to be a rehular

Been coming here for years, but is over priced for average food and beer priced at Birmingham Central. There are now much better places within a 2 mile radius for better food at reasonable prices and beer priced much cheaper. Vines has had it's best days.

Ate at the Vine on Saturday 25 April having previously eaten there 2 weeks previously. Thoroughly enjoyed it on both occasions. First time as s a Sunday lunchtime and I had the chicken clay pot and my husband had chicken tikka rogan josh, shared a pilau rice and garlic naan. We both had a cobra beer to accompany it and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I returned on Saturday with a girl friend. It was 4.30 in the afternoon, we shared a chicken tikka from the BBQ and then ordered a chicken saag and a chicken vindaloo with pilar rice aNd garlic naan. I had a carling cider and my driver friend had a coke. The meal was once again delicious. The pub filled at 5.10 as west brom were playing at home, but there was plenty of staff behind the bar and a great atmosphere in the pub, can't wait to return

Have been coming here for years and the quality never disappoints. Fantastic meat from the Indian barbecue and generous portions of every order. Have had the curries previously as well, which are full of flavour and have lots of meat in them.
Highly recommended whatever the occasion!

having visited twice now I felt I should leave a review,.
I visited with a friend of mine who is Indian and he recommended we eat here, the lamb saag and chicken tikka were perfect, giant naan bread to go with it, just a shame I'm always driving as the local hand pulled beer looks as good as the grub, I've tried most of the curry houses on broad street and none come close.
After reading the comments regarding rude staff I think this is due to the amount of people served, that the ladies just don't have time to be kissing everyone's backside, get in enjoy the drink enjoy the food, love the atmosphere....come back for more
Good job The Vine

This is an ideal place for any football fans esp away fans. The place offers good selection beers as well as reasonable priced Indian food. It has two small rooms as you enter then the first of the two dining areas. It has outside garden with lots standing area as well as a marque with benches.
The area around has free street parking. The ground is 15-20 minutes walk with footpath along the rail-line. It is a must for visiting fans but get there early for (food) seating.

Went on Wednesday evening very busy but got served quickly at the bar, the BBQ area very busy I think 4 of us had the last available table ordered our usual BBQ food didn't have to wait long & it was fantastic as always, but it was very noisey! Be careful where you park as we left at about 8pm the traffic warden was putting tickets on some cars!

If you are a football fan of West Bromwich Albion then the chances are that you you will know all about the Vine in Roebuck Street West Bromwich' as do fans from all over the country as the Vine is widely advertised in many match day programs. On match days you will find it hard to get in unless you arrive early as it becomes full to bursting with both home & away fans looking to taste the famous indoor barbecue and many other great Indian dishes. Chicken tikka is a big favourite and a must for all the locals. But come on any other day and you will love the great atmosphere in a pleasant pub/restaurant that is popular from miles around. As you first approach the pub found at the end of Roebuck street it looks like a little ordinary pub but a surprise awaits you as you enter this wonderful not so little pub just off junction 1 of the M5 West Bromwich.
Address.. The Vine 152 Roebuck Street,West Bromwich,West Midlands B70 6RD Telephone 0121 553 2866 or check out the website thevine.co.uk. or the vine on FB.
As you enter the vine there are a couple of small rooms at the front of the pub for people who want a more cosy visit. As you walk past you enter the first of two main dining area's where you will find the main bar serving great great beers like cobra and all the usual favourites. Then beyond this is the amazing barbecue area where you will also find plenty of room for friends and family to enjoy your meal. There is also an outside marque which is more popular on match days. The Vine has also recently undertaken a makeover making it even better than it was before. So if you would like some amazing food at reasonable prices then come and visit the Vine. I guarantee you will soon be back to this wonderful little gem in the heart of the black country that has a great reputation for miles around.
Ps. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN PARKING YOUR CAR AS SLY PARKING ATTENDANTS REGULARLY TARGET THE PUB EVEN LATE AT NIGHT.

Enjoyed the vine many times now. Food is great , tad spicy though, little expensive , you definitely don't have to wait long however busy! BBq staff & waitresses are nice , however the bar staff need a lesson in customer service. Doesn't matter how many times we've visited, no smiles, one in particular lady fairly rude. Disappoints me, considering we travel a fair few miles to visit there.

This was our first visit, but it won't be our last. Plenty of choice, and the BBQ menu was to die for. Orders came within 10 minutes even though this was a busy Saturday night. Food was delicious, and good value for money.

A large group of us visited on a Saturday evening. I have been here a couple of times in the past and it was very busy. On this occasion it was quite quiet. We ordered a drink and curry at the bar, there is also the bbq in the back where you can order food as well.
I think our curries arrive with in 5 minutes of us ordering them, which on this occasion was very much appreciated, as we were all very hungry. Not sure this give the made to order feel!!
The food was very nice. I didn't order from the BBQ, but a couple of my friends did and said it was good.
Its only round the corner from one of the Metro stops and well worth the stop off!!

We have visited several times over the course of 16 years and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We have always considered it to be value for money. Tonight 4 of us visited spending a little over £40, firstly surprised by the upgrade to the bbq room so much more comfortable, thank you somethings remain unchanged quirky ordering and familiar staff faces.(I like
quirky). The food hot flavoursome and delicious, I had tilapia from the bbq while the rest of the party had chicken, ribs and sheesh kebab with naans. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. Thank you Suki you deserve the success your business brings you.

The vine is an exceptional place to dine. It is cheap and cheerful and the quality of the food is phenomenal! To be honest the exterior of the place doesn't match the inside, but it most definitely is a great suprise when you see how deceptively spacious it is inside! The indoor barbecue is a fantastic touch. The vine has become a family favourite, and even though I am based in Sutton, my family and I always make the extra effort for guaranteed good food and a great even without having to dig deep into our pockets. Highly recommend
