‘Tikkin Tikka’ is timely new dish available at The Vine, West Bromwich...

The Vine have introduced a speedy new dish to mark its reopening after lockdown – the ‘Tikkin’ Tikka’

This version of customers’ favourite classic chicken tikka comes with a guaranteed 15-minute delivery time at The Vine in West Bromwich! It’s a great way to give returning diners peace of mind that service can still be excellent despite stringent social distancing measures put in place.

The Vine’s owner, Suki Patel said: “The name of the new dish is just a bit of fun really but it underlines how seriously we are taking giving our customers the very best service. We have invested so much in making sure we get everything right and we just wanted to give our most popular dish a little twist.”

Suki said being forced to shut these last months had been a testing time for The Vine which has been voted the UK’s Best Curry Pub three times. But now it is set to open from 1pm on Saturday 4th July.

He said: “We have obviously been worried about what has been going on and wanting to get back to business when it’s safe to do so. We have been anxiously waiting for Government advice on this and are delighted to be able to reopen. We have thankfully been able to keep on all of our 32 staff. We’ve thrown away 3,500 pints of beer and bought all new stocks and ingredients with fantastic fresh produce.

We’ve invested in deep cleaning, safety screens,  PPE for staff and an app to help people order from their tables. We’ve also had a complete redecoration so alongside family time, we have been busy making sure we are fully ready to go when the time is right.”

The Vine is also known for its match day service with Baggies fans packing out the restaurant under normal circumstances before heading for home games at The Hawthorns.

Suki said “It’s a case of wait and see with the football season, we’d love to welcome supporters back but we don’t know when that’s going to be. Some matches will be televised so it would be great to get people back to watch the game with us. All we can do is keep up with Government guidance and hope for more good news soon.”

He added that he was touched and delighted to have had so much support from loyal customers saying they can’t wait to return and fantastic messages through The Vine’s facebook page which has more than 10,000 followers.
