Heard some good reports so thought would give it a try & was very impressed. Excellent food and very good value, home cooked. Not a huge menu but something for everyone. Couple that run it are very friendly. Will definitely go again.

The fingerpost is a favourite of mine and we tend to go on special occasions. It is a great pub with a fantastic view and atmosphere whether it's a quick pop in after a dog walk over nest common or a meal out with friends, you will not be disappointed. Tonight my husband and I went for a meal and enjoyed tge best food at a reasonable price. We both agreed the quality was amazing and the staff were both friendly and helpful at all times.

I drive past once a week and thought it looked nice and I wanted to go but never got a chance.
So my car broke down outside tonight and I had to wait for recovery - so I waited inside. Lovely helpful staff, friendly customers, good pint. Nice menu, so I ordered a Cajun chicken burger with added bacon and cheese because I was told 2 hours for recovery. Ten mins later get the call saying recovery is outside. I trotted off up the road and they went out of their way to pack my food up to takeaway. Iām home now and the fries are CRISPY and the burger is amazing. Looking forward to going back especially as it is also dog friendly and they have a decline g area overlooking the canal. Lovely little pub who made a bad day so much better - thank you!

I went here again recently and they have new owners (new but been there 2 years lol) who are friendly. They have plenty of raspberry sambuca so it's a win win situation š.

Situated nice , for walks and outside eats &drinks. Found the inside dining area lacked atmosphere and was dull.Meals ok, pricy for what was offered. Noise from bar area adjoining .at times found it irritating.. Presentation of tables not appealing ,just bare. No place mats etc. Staff pleasant.
