Hydesville are special in that they typically have classes that are half the size of other schools, meaning that your child gets the individual attention needed for them to thrive. In fact GCSE subjects are taught to just a handful of students giving them the best chance to excel in their chosen subjects.

Hydesville Tower Nursery is a homely, safe and caring environment for every little boy or girl with the staff having the utmost concern for each and every child. The Nursery is open 49 weeks per year and open from 8am – 6pm throughout term time. They also offer Fun Clubs during non-term time. During term time the school premises are open from 7:30am onwards for a small additional charge of £1 per 15 minutes.

GCSE results were of an extremely high standard again in 2018 with 99% of all exams achieving a “good pass” at the new Grade 4+, compared to the national average of 67%. 81% achieved a “strong pass” at Grade 5+ in English Language and 94% in Maths. All pupils at Hydesville achieved a Grade 7 or above in at least one subject, with almost half of the cohort securing the new top Grade 9.
There are always many activities taking place around the whole school for pupils and family to get involved in! The school aim not only to enhance pupils performance academically but to also provide them with the basic life skills needed for the big world of work with their wide range of extra-curricular activities!
