Great food, well stocked bar. Good service and really well handled Covid19 precautions. One of our favourite places. Highly recommended over all other Birmingham grill houses. A must to go to.

Great atmosphere, very nice and friendly staff, the food is Amaaaaazing. Never tasted Chicken Briyani and Chicken Tikka (of the grill) like the Vine’s anywhere, it’s just unbeatable....

Very mediocre and does not rank close to its rivals. I would not say that this is authentic Indian cuisine at all. It lacks flare, flavour and spice. I was incredibly disappointed with the bar service and waitressing, I get the “your lucky I turned up at work to serve you” impression. I would not return back here by choice. And I’m incredibly confused at what the fuss is about. We had chicken jalfrezi, absolutely no spice, filled with fool colouring and minimal taste. The mixed grill is served separately on paper plates, on top of lettuce.... if you ask me it’s pointless and very low budget. One thing I will say is there is a conservatory area, and small rooms. This means you do not leave with the strong lingering smell. Bradford arms Walsall, unmatchable.

Food was great, we were in a large party of 12 and food was hot and very nice. Only reason I rated 4 was purely price. 90% of other Indian restaurants throw in poppadoms and dips, but not here. £44.35 for 3 adults with no alcohol was steep.

The Vine,,,A Pub With indian Food It takes a while to suss how it works,, then happy days.We ordered Meat samosas, And spicey fish as starters, Both "OK " Thats allFor Mains,,, Curry Goat,,,, Very very SO SO,,,, Not awfull, But the lowest scoring in recent memory. And the Achari Chicken Advertised at the bar, and sounding fantastic... In reality it was a "Beginners" Curry, Ok better than the Goat, But nothing specialAfter looking at the Grill, i just had to order a few bits,, Some sort of reallt dry chicken, Plus Chicken Tikka,,Hmm Sadly not as good as it looked, Plus wings, Which were a 5/10 at best Shame as it looked great The 4 Tunns beer was great though,, All in compared to Lahore The Grill is sadly lacking,,,Bt you have to try these places.PS Try and get the Old Guy on the grill to smile,,,,, He must be trying really hard to be so miserable! His mate is fine though

My eldest son loves this place, it's quite near the West Brom football ground, so avoid match days, its rammmed. The food is always nice, the chicken tikka is excellent, but they seem to have cut down on the standard pub grub, so if you dont like curry you are quite limited. They have a car park now and don't be fooled by the front of the place,it goes back a long way. My only reservation is, if you don't have something from the grill, which is cooked to order, the food tends to come very quickly, which for me means it is only warmed up, so for me it seems to be about a quick turn around of customers for them.

Paid a visit to the Vine today as a Luton Town supporter and have to say in over 40 years of going to away games I have never visited a better pre match venue. To see such a mixture of home and away fans all together, enjoying a beer and some fantastic food, was an absolute joy! (Shame about the result) You guys should be proud of yourselves. Couldn’t believe how many people were in there at 12.30 when I arrived. When I got to the front door I thought it was a tiny pub but as I walked through it was like Narnia opening up in front of me! Unfortunately it’s unlikely we’ll be in the same division next season but if we are it’ll be the first away day on my list. Keep up the good work!

We love The Vine. Match day at The Hawthorns and then drinks and food at Roebuck Street is hard to beat. We last went 1 February. However I regret to say that the rudeness of the elderly gentleman at the barbeque again cast a shadow over our visit. I wouldn't tolerate being treated with such contempt elsewhere so why do I put up with it at The Vine? Next time he's rude to me I'll tell him exactly what I think of his behaviour. The rest of the staff are lovely and the food is fabulous.

Went there for my sons birthday meal, had a great meal & service was great as usual. My daughter had the kids chicken nugget meal (doesn't like asian food) which was more than enough. Cheers Mark 👍🏻👍🏻

Been here many times. Tikka is the speciality here or in fact anything from the grill. Shame they do a mixed grill but as fabulous as ever

Visited this place with my partner - tasty food! Recommend the chicken off the grill and Sag Panner. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere to go with your friends - we will be back very soon.

What a diamond of a pub this is. Went in before a game at the hawthorns they allow away fans in too. Good range of real ales as well as other beers. The food was fantastic the chicken tikka wrap was excellent. It was that good we went back in after the game until 9.30 and I had the goat curry it was to die for.

Unfortunately we only get to the Vine once or twice a year when we visit shows at the NEC. I have truly never had such superb Indian food- they offer a great choice of popular, traditional and specialty dishes all freshly cooked and delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient- Liam was a great help with deciding what we wanted and pointed us to a very acceptable bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The owner is usually around with one eye on his paper and the other on his staff and customers - all of which are happy. Truly worth a visit- you will not be disappointed- two minutes off the M5 and you are there.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon, ordered 2 chicken tikka from the grill to start. Chicken was a bit over cooked and wasn’t particularly as great flavoured as I thought it would be. Sheekh kebab wrap was actually quite nice for the main but my partner ordered a korma which tasted a bit too spicy for a korma which was bizarre as I imagined it to be very mild. Probably would return but maybe order something different on the menu to give the place another go as it’s right next to the Albion and isn’t a bad pub either.

The Vine will always be famous for being one of the first Indian grill houses, and back in the day Indians from all over would visit as there were not many, if any Indian barbecue eateries. But as there are so many littered around the midlands now the place isn’t so exclusive, and the food is lagging well behind some of its rivals. We ordered some barbecued Chicken Tikka along with a Lamb Curry and although the Chicken was above average the curry was poor. It tasted like a pre cooked meal deal you would find in a supermarket, and making this known to the staff made no difference whatsoever. The building itself has grown in size so to accommodate those who visit going off their prior reputation, but unfortunately The Vine is no longer held in the same esteem it once was by myself sorry.

We have visited here many times - special occasions, day time, restaurant and BBQ grill and also before West Brom Matches on match days! Food always fresh, hot and tasty! Avoid if you are looking for a table on a match day as it gets super crowded... Well deserves 5 stars!

Went here on 4th October Had a couple of things off the grill which were really nice , had a couple of young children with us who needed high chairs Which were supplied, we had to give them a good clean with wet wipes , also no baby changing facility which is unusual nowadays, overcharged for a round of drinks £12.75 for 1 beer and 3 regular cokes, currys were average and drinks expensive.

Visited The Vine for the first time. It is massive . Once you were told how to order the meal it was fine , the meal it self was ok and served quite quickly. I have had better but for the price was acceptable. Would use again for a quick curry

Best chicken tikka I’ve ever tasted but the two chaps working on the grill were as miserable as sin and bordering on rude as several other reviews also state. The bar staff however were very friendly and working extremely hard. The curries came within minutes of ordering and although we ordered completely different ones they were very similar in look and taste and clearly pre prepared and simply heated up. I’ve been eating curry at least twice a week for about 30 years now so like to think I know what I’m talking about, I had Parthia which I’ve had hundreds of times and it was nothing like what I’d expect Parthia to be like! It’s a unique experience and I’d probably go again as it’s a nice vibe and totally different to a ‘normal’ Indian restaurant but if you want a top quality authentic curry then this isn’t the place for you.

We visited with our 2 young children on a weekend. A weekend football match had just gotten over so the place was busy and lively. Big place with on site parking and many rooms and halls. The atmosphere was good. Our food arrived within less than a minute of ordering at the bar, it was that quick. Quality of food was very good. Family friendly. Would visit again, hopefully on a non football night.
