While in principle this seems like a great way to save money, and it very well might save you on some upfront costs – it’s obviously not that simple. Most of us send our car to a garage and a qualified mechanic for a basic service; even though with some detailed instructions, the right parts, patience, some swearing, a big mess on the driveway, some more swearing, and perhaps quite a few days – we would probably get there… but you have just spent several days saving a couple of hundred pounds, there is a lot to clean up, 200 emails and messages to get back to, you’ve barely seen your family…. and do you really want to drive the car and trust it?? What business could you have generated in that few days while someone else did the service?

With all the news of the DVSA website crashing when tests were able to be booked again, I wanted to let everyone know that I can book my pupils test and due to Instructors having a dedicated service, all my pupils have got a test booked, usually within a few minutes of me logging on.

Quite by chance whilst on a course in the local area, I happened upon the building at King Square in Bridgwater. Drawn by it’s industrial and business heritage I had been looking at local architecture and property. I’m Pam Bunbury - Lindsay, a property developer by trade, so this was a force of habit for me. Looking unloved and fairly run down, my eye lingered over the Georgian proportions, the scale of the property, the beautiful square it frames and the possibilities started to form in my head. Fast forward to now, and with my partner Sean Lindsay, we bought the Grade II Listed building and started to uncover it’s history.

Grassroots Rugby. The local clubs that we play in, feel loyal to, and support. We are ,or were proud to wear the first team shirt as a player, and even more proud to see our kids do the same. I played for my local team for years and was lucky enough to be First IV Captain for a while. The friends I made and played with have been an integral part of my life ever since. Sadly, all grassroots rugby was cancelled at the beginning of the lock-down and has not yet seen any viable prospect for returning to the sport as yet. As a contact sport, social distancing would see a very different game!!

Only you know where your talents lie and right now you need to shout about them. Think about what you are good at and look hard at them. Ask your customers what they liked about your services, what they felt was good and what they felt you might have improved upon. Never assume that they are totally happy with the work or service you provide, as customer loyalty is earned and not given.
