The Allerford is the place we always go when we want a great carvery. They serve a good selection of drinks and the staff are always attentive. The desserts always look great too, but I've never actually managed to make it all the way through the carvery with room to spare for one. Will be back soon no doubt.

Had a wonderful family lunch here over the bank holiday weekend. We received a warm welcome at the bar and found the food to be fantastic. I ordered a vegetarian meal which was lovely and freshly cooked. My husband had the Allerford burger and an extra side of halloumi fries. The kids meals were great too, again, freshly cooked and high quality, with the nicest chips.
Service from our waitress was polite, friendly and relaxed. We cannot wait to go again! I think the quality of the food stands out in comparison to other family pubs.

Family and I came here to for a delicious carvery and we couldn’t have been more spoilt. From the warm welcome by the young lady at the bar, sufficient table service to the amazingly priced and outstanding carvery! All home cooked and fresh - perfection. A friendly chef carving and we never felt that nothing was too much trouble. One family member is gluten free and in some places this is made to feel like they’re being difficult but at The Allerford Inn, you order your gluten free gravy at the bar when getting the tickets and it’s ready and waiting for you when you go to get your carvery! Simple but it’s the little touches that count! The Allerford Inn, patch yourselves on the back - you’re doing a great job! Definitely our place to go whenever we want to go out for food! Thank you!!

Food was ok, but uninspiring. Staff friendly. we went on a Saturday for lunch and the whole place was deserted. It’s a shame as we have been before and it was fine then.

I had the faggots which were really tasty and my wife the mushrooms stuffed
They were happy to leave out walnuts from the mushrooms which is a great indication that they prepare the meals themselves
Food was very good and service was very good
I guess my only observation is that it’s a little bland decor wise. It needs some colour as the walls are pale in colour and to warm up the atmosphere they need to introduce maybe some wall coverings or plants or be bolder in choice of paint making the ambience more warming

If you want a really great carvery this is the place to go it is consistently very good with plenty of variety plus on the pudding front the crumble is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and efficient.

Nice and tasty food with a good choice but not very accessable for people who walk using a stick as my two elderly in-law had to use the steps outside to enter the building and also had to use a step unside the building dining area

We've just returned from a fabulous Sunday lunch with family. The staff were all extremely friendly and made us feel most welcome. The Sunday carvery was faultless and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for!
