Excellent museum, the exhibitions are set out in a way that you can just browse or take your time, taking in all the information. The military section is worth a visit on it's own !!<br>Also the café is excellent a museum to suit all ages.

Super Museum tucked away in the middle of Taunton, follow road signs. Spread over several floors a real gem on the history of Somerset. The museum is run by volunteers who were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, Cafe and gift shop. No car park but parking available near Lidl a short walk away. Well worth a visit, free entry but please give a donation.

A fantastic museum of the history of Somerset. With interactive elements and plenty of interest for all ages. The exhibitions in the gallery (currently: Journeys in Art by Alexander Hollweg) are always very interesting. Fabulous cafe with light bites and cakes.

Really pleased. I emailed the museum about buying a book that I cant get anywhere else. I couldn't collect so they kindly took payment and posted the book to me in just a couple of days when officially the don't offer this service. Really pleased and will be visiting soon. Thank you

A great museum from paleontological to archaeological with a brilliant section with artifacts from the armed forces.

Interesting museum; I recommend that you go around it on the suggested order, which is primarily in chronological order. Good cafe. (For those interested in musical instruments, I was fascinated by the virginal, which I have never come across before. Pictures came out well, but don't really do justice to quite how curious it is!)
