Absolutely magical gardens, with so much to explore. Friendly and helpful staff. And the pan fried hake in the restaurant was excellent. This was our first visit and I will plan another visit very soon

A place we visit often. The food in the stable restaurant is excellent.

You've got to really really love gardens to justify the entry fee . Only the cafe and garden centre don't require an admission fee

The formal gardens and the grounds we're lovely. Not much to the house apart from some lovely ceilings and some paintings. Hopefully it can be further restored with some period furniture and features one day.

Very nice outdoor and indoor location with a small cosy cafe and a restaurant which serves a wide range of food and beverages both hot and cold. Very scenic location and perfect place to cycle to with it conveniently situated in the heart of the hills. Very nice calm atmosphere perfect for all ages

Will adjust accordingly when I next visit. Payed for a ticket at full price. Entered the site and then was told a wedding was taking place this meant all of the interesting areas were off limits. Don't think the ticket price should of been at a full price as I didn't get the full experience. Restaurant was closed for wedding, all of the garden, all of the orangery and the house it's self. And please don't reply and tell me that it was only the orangery as we both know it wasn't just that area that was closed.

Beautiful scenery and garden features. There is nice walks for children. My only fault is if you have a heavy buggy the terrain could be hard going.

Such a great day out. We were given free tickets and we were so glad we went. Fabulous friendly staff, beautiful gardens and well above expectations food in the restaurant. I mean really quality food...totally delicious, compliments to the chef. Only downside was the length of time it took to get two coffees from the coffee bar...20 minutes with only one small family of 3 in front of us in the queue? Need to tweak that service.
Otherwise well worth the visit and we shall return!!
