Air IT Group are a managed IT services company that provides outsourced IT support and technology solutions for businesses, mainly small and medium-sized enterprises.
The company is hosting a practical masterclass on 30 June which is focused on building the right IT foundations for AI.
Led by chief technology officer Lee Johnson, the session will explore how businesses can move beyond experimentation and start preparing their infrastructure, data and governance for long-term AI adoption.
Recent research shows that although AI adoption is rising across UK businesses, only a small percentage are considered truly “AI-ready”.
The session aims to provide practical guidance on where organisations should focus over the next 12–24 months.
Topics will include how AI is changing business strategy and operations, what “AI-ready” IT really looks like, why strong data and infrastructure foundations matter, and practical next steps for businesses looking to scale AI securely and effectively.
Lee Johnson, (pictured) CTO at Air IT Group, said: “AI is creating real competitive advantage for businesses that are ready for it. But most organisations aren’t there yet. The gap between ambition and outcomes comes down to one thing: foundations.
“AI-ready IT isn’t just about avoiding risk. It’s about unlocking what’s possible. The right infrastructure opens the door to genuine innovation, faster decisions, and measurable value from AI investment.
“This masterclass is about helping businesses build that foundation with confidence. We’ll cover what AI-ready actually means in practice, where the gaps typically are, and how to close them.”
The masterclass is designed for business leaders, IT teams/professionals and organisations at any stage of their AI journey.
