Forget star city, Royal at Sutton Coldfield is 100% better. The staff are so friendly. The new bar is great and the mud slide cocktail is fantastic. Would definitely be able to make it more of an evening out with a few drinks first. I was in for a shock when I walked in to the screen. No typical cinema seats her you have very comfortable armchair style seats which even have there own foot stools. Now we have such a lovely cinema in Sutton I hope that everyone respects it.

The cinema has been fitted out beautifully. Really comfy with plenty of legroom. My only niggle is that i could hear the background noise from the film on a neighbouring screen which made it hard to totally concentrate. It wasn't through the whole film so must have been when there was loud music.

Attended with my daughter yesterday to have some quality time together - service was second to none - with a free upgrade to reclined seats - best film I’ve ever sat and watched in such comfort - defo plan to return- shout out to Finlay working on tills - great chap chose us the best seats ! Thanks again

First visit since the refurb. Lovely fresh art deco cinema. Great staff, lovely facilities, food is the standard stuff but that isn’t a problem. Good to have the cinema back in Sutton.
Advice: The parking isn’t an issue. Park down Bishops Road opposite the cinema.

Love that we have a cinema back in Sutton Coldfield. Comfortable and very clean. Honour meerkat 2 for 1 and a discount for over 60's. Fabulous!

Can highly recommend the Royal cinema, what a wonderful experience. The decor is first class. The only criticism I have is the disability parking. There is only room for a few cars and I'm not sure how many of those are disability spaces.

Went last night, beautifully decorated. Seats are really comfortable. Only spoilt by the horrible inconsiderate people who left all their rubbish on the seats and floors, no need.

Delighted the cinema is back open ! It was my first visit this evening and I was not disappointed.Had an issue with booking filled in the online form received a quick reply.Staff very friendly and helpful ,nice refurb ,decent bar .We had a lovely evening.

Hurray for this cinema! So glad to have it re-opened, and they've done a great job renovating it. Loved the comfy sofas, the spacious leg room, and the cute popcorn boxes! Recommended.

What a fantastic restoration for this cinema in the heart of Sutton Coldfield! The decor: manager and staff are excellent, love the new uniforms.Great prices for the films and of course the new bar for a pre showing drink.Welcome back!! If you haven't been yet,it's a must.

I took my children to see Despicable Me 4 at the newly refurbished cinema, and it was wonderful. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The interior is stunning and sympathetic to the art deco era of the building, and the new seating (and footstools) are incredibly comfortable. As a Mum to 5 children it's great to see that the Royal hasn't set the ticket prices really high as it means we can definitely see more films as a family.

When to see a movie last night first time and the decor and cinema was so plush and beautiful we loved the decor. I hope customers treat it with the respect it deserves. My only nit pick was no hotdogs but now I understand because they want to keep it nice and clean . We will definitely return .

Wow!! An absolutely stunning restoration. Sutton Coldfield has been missing its cinema. Luxurious seating and a really great price. A Well deserved 5 stars and worth a visit. Went in daytime with grandson, but be a great place for a nice evening out. Has a bar area and lots of places within short walking distance to eat out. No parking onsite, but plenty of parking nearby.
