So glad to have cinema back in sutton, been 5 times since it's re opened and it's lovely and ticket price is really good. Staff are really friendly and helpful especially Marissa who I have spoken to on most of my visits, she's lovely and let's us no of upcoming special viewings that are coming out etc

This was my first time going since the renovations and I can say it looks a million times better than it did before. Whole building has had a makeover with fancy art deco themed pieces. The only letdown for me was I believe they kept the same screens/projectors, and it could do with an upgrade.

How amazing is this. Restored to a very high standard. Just as it was in the 1930 .. I am disabled and the staff went out of there way to be helpful. They have the most wonderful settees. Cut outs for wheelchairs. Special mention to Justin who was there when it was the empire. He was so proud to show us the new jewel in the Crown for sutton coldfield.

I went to your beautiful cinema yesterday for the first time to see the Joker. I want to say that I found Marissa to be such a kind and knowledgeable lady and made our visit even more amazing. She definitely goes and above and beyond xxxx

Great place to watch movies and watch in comfort.
Good selection of refreshments available, and each member of staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
I would have no hesitation in recommending The Royal Cinema to any movie goer!

The five stars are for the Royal Cinema in Sutton Coldfield, which has been refurbished to a very high standard. It looks amazing. However, the film that I saw there, Joker Folie à Deux, was rubbish. Still, I will definitely be visiting this cinema again.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, been a few times since opening & loved the experience, will definitely go again… great choice in films & what a way to reminisce with bringing some of the old classics back 🫶

Great atmosphere and lovely facilities.. locals need to support this independent cinema... There are however some "teething issues" still in place.. Gin 'n Tonics in plastic pint glasses, no slices for your GnT, lager and no bitter... However.... As I say... These are small issues that can and hopefully will, be overcome... In general nice place to watch movies in... Please do not take your own nibbles .. buy there, support the cinema, and keep it going... 👌👍

Went back to Royal Cinema this evening to watch Pretty Woman with 3 friends Wendy at the tills was really welcoming and accommodating 😊, Tristan and the 2 lads on bar were also really friendly

Fantastic. Took my 5 year old to see Despicable Me 4 on Saturday morning. Very friendly and helpful staff (interaction with my child was great too, great place, and really reasonable ticket and food prices. I had taken snacks just in case there was nothing suitable, but never touched them, instead bought from the counter. Will do same in future as I know they depend on food and drink sales for their profit. Was really quiet at this time. I will not go to any of the other cinemas in Tamworth etc again…

It’s been fitted out loverly with an art deco style and all the staff were amazing/friendly
Upstairs you’ve got a new bar with sofas and a huge selection of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Would highly recommend and will be going back again

Great cinema walked there nice to have a cinema in the town, went there as a child art deco still there staff and cinema are 100% well done , bar up stairs nice I am going here now instead of brum and other cinema, and treat yourself to a meal in sutton as well I'm supporting the local area . 2nd visit here sept 2024 enjoyed just as good as the first visit give it a go sure you will not be disappointed.
