They've done a lovely job on the renovation of the cinema. The decor's great and the seats are really comfy and come either as a recliner or with a foot stool.

Went here a few weeks ago.. the decor is beautiful and the best thing about the cinema and cinema experience.. price is reasonable had I not got a 2-4-1 I wouldn't have paid the full price per person.. the food and beverages are averagely priced however the portion size of the nachos are a joke..and also they are served cold with cold dips... I like that you get pots of sealed dips .. but still, the cheese would be nicer served warm.. I feel there could be more variety of food also.. a wider menu would be great ... The sweet popcorn wasn't to my taste too many burnt kernels and I broke my tooth on this.. (no joke) but the salt one was beautiful seasoned and light and crispy a definite recommend.
We went to screen 4 and I felt disappointed that the screen seemed the same size and quality as the old cinema.. could do with bringing the screen forward of that large stage and utilising the space better. Also, I thought the sets were a little too close giving that cramped feeling but other than that they were comfortable... staff were ok.. a little cold and drab.. and not in touch with the customers I felt. The 3 girls at the front desk were more friendly and inviting but maybe with experience the service will pick up in pace .. but's understandable as they're finding their feet. I would visit this cinema again.. but not too often.. just to add o adore the popcorn boxes.

Went on Tuesday, pre-booked for Deadpool Vs Wolverine, paid Peak price for some reason even though it was in the week, another anomaly Child of 15 pays adult price despite being a student (no ID card yet - maybe that can be tweaked) Anyways absolutely superb restoration work on the old art deco dream palace. Luxurious and spacious seating, with additional footstools, and a beautiful bar upstairs. Noticed a person took their shoes off and got a bit too comfortable 🦶 It's a real wow factor, the cinema, not the feet. like a set design from the Great Gatsby, Roaring Twenties etc. Great sound system, slight reflection of light from the projector in the middle of the screen but doesn't retract too much. Staff welcoming and a lovely experience, Having seen ET, ROTJ and Back to the Futures there, it was a real blast from the past. Will go again.

Just had a lovely evening out at the Royal - yes, the cinema looks glamorous, theyve made a beautiful job of the original 30s restoration. But the staff were what made the difference, all came with amazing attitude that couldn't be helpful enough. Especially the lovely blonde girl (with the bow! Sophie or Emma? If I remember I'll edit this!) and Harry...so smiley =)
We loved Deadpool too and it was like sitting in a very posh front room, really comfortable. We'll be back as often as we can, thank you..!

What a gem! Lovely art deco referb, amazingly friendly and helpful staff, comfy clean sofa-like seats, excellent sized screening rooms, seamless online booking system and very reasonable prices for both tickets and confectionery. Topped off with a very responsive and well informed social media profile, it's brilliant to see Sutton have a star quality cinema back! 🙌🏻🍾

Great to see this place open. Lovely inside and Steve met my disabled friend, helped her inside then brought our tea upstairs to us at the bar to save us having to go back down again. Lovely helpful staff, deserves to do well

I came to see inside the new reopened building and met amazingly kind staff, but unfortunately I wasn't planning on staying to watch a film because I had things to do elsewhere... I don't live here, so I am heartbroken I wasn't able to come back and actually take time to stay and watch... Had a lovely chat with the employees who welcomed us warmly and gave us a tour even if we had told them we couldn't stay. Highly, highly recommend stopping by.

Me and my friend have tried the new royal cinema since its reopening for the first time and we love it the decor looks amazing and has been restored with alot of love thank u the sofas r so comfy and relaxing also nice to have a bar so u can enjoy a drink other than pop

What a wonderful evening in a gorgeous place. We live withing minutes of the cinema and have been so excited to see the new cinema and we were wowed! All the staff were amazing. Jaime behind the bar was so helpful and then we stopped and chatted to the staff after the film. Cang wait to come back for the dirty dancing night and fingers crossed thd list boys night. Thank you for a wonderful evening 😊 💕

Well done to the new owners for restoring this beautiful building and preserving the art deco style. The sofas are beautiful and super comfortable and will hopefully withstand the test of time! Delighted to support this venture and hope that the town will too. Friendly and helpful staff. Good luck!

What an amazing job they have done to the cinema. Giving a luxury vibe with reclining seats on the back row but then other rows have a foot rest to really relax. Staff were so happy and helpful. The guy at the bar really loved his job. We had a good 5 minute conversation with him about all the work that had gone into it.
Amazing value for money too at under £10 a ticket. I can totally understand why they are taking outside food off people as it will not survive with selling extras.

Myself and my Mum went to see Twisters yesterday at this beautiful new cinema… It was beyond our expectations and the attention to detail in the building work and decoration was exceptional! We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and will definitely be returning!
