Great first visit to the new Royal Cinema today first class seating comfy big chairs and sofas ..incredibly friendly staff ..no cash payments at food etc though please note especially if children go alone ..but we’ll done all

Myself and my Mum went to see Twisters yesterday at this beautiful new cinema… It was beyond our expectations and the attention to detail in the building work and decoration was exceptional! We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and will definitely be returning!

First visit to the newly refurbished Royal Cinema. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming staff that were friendly, informative and keen to help wherever they could. Thank you to Finlay who served us our refreshments. You’re a credit to the cinema. Would recommend anyone to visit!

Went to The Royal cinema tonight after years to see Deadpool. It was a complete delight, loved the decor, artwork and comfy stylish sofas. It is great to have the cinema reopen its doors. The whole experience was modern yet nostalgic as I have had many memories at this cinema and felt emotional when I heard it was reopening. I absolutely love the bar at the top of the stairs and the gentleman who was on there with the blonde hair was very smiley and approachable to all customers as they passed. Well done to all of the staff, I will certainly be returning and supporting The Royal cinema.

What a great venue and cinema experience. Obviously restored with love, maintaining the art deco architecture and feel. The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make it a good night. And to top it all the price was good. Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit. Nice refurbished cinema. I never been here before but I visited it now because I saw it on Birmingham news online. It reminds me a bit of The Everyman in town but with an art deco touch. I took one star off as I thought it was done up and ready to go. However there were builders still working at the front doing and going in out the screens. No opening times on when it would be open or signs, so I was a bit confused when building work was still happening. I thought I made a mistake a first.

Fantastic. The recent full refurbishment by the new owners is exceptional and has beautifully returned this cinema to its original art deco best but with modern quality seats with foot stools, recliners, doubles etc. Returned last night for the first time in 10 years and was so impressed with the place. Staff all great as well. Highly recommended!!

Visited for opening weekend, the seats were really comfy and spacious! The ticket prices were good as well (unlike other cinemas so i havnt been elsewhere for years). Will definately visit again!!

Cinema is amazing! So nice to see a queue out the door to get in (genuinely)! Compared to how empty it used to be, this cinema is just what Sutton Coldfield needed. Everything about it was excellent, the atmosphere, the seats, the service. Tom, one of the members of staff, was extremely helpful when it came to serving and showing where to go, great hire!<br><br>Would highly recommend this cinema to anyone looking for a nice place to go and watch a movie, you won’t be disappointed!

So nice to be able to go back to this cinema after years of it being closed. They’ve done an amazing job with the refurb, massive improvement to the empire. Seats were comfy, screen was a good size and the staff made the whole experience even better.

Great first experience of the revamped cinema, I hope it gets the support it deserves, leave plenty of time to source parking as it’s pretty busy around that area but staff were great and the cinema has been done lovely. Staff all great too.

Absolutly brilliant cinema and the owners ate so nice to speak to met James on the opening evening so enthusiastic and polite what they have done to the cinema is out of this world, the manager Des Christie is a star as he was manager of The Empire and was so enthisiastic about the cinema l was so pleased to see him back in charge hr will mske a go of it iam sure, iworked there when i left school from 1956 to 1960 as a projectionist in my opinion Des is the right man to take charge of this wondefull cinema i wish him the best of luck.

Absolutely amazing cinema, the place has just been done up to a very high standard and the building oozes character and charm, reasonable prices and excellent customer service, the number one cinema in Birmingham! Well done to the Jervis Family and I wish them all the success!
