Great to see this place open. Lovely inside and Steve met my disabled friend, helped her inside then brought our tea upstairs to us at the bar to save us having to go back down again. Lovely helpful staff, deserves to do well

I came to see inside the new reopened building and met amazingly kind staff, but unfortunately I wasn't planning on staying to watch a film because I had things to do elsewhere... I don't live here, so I am heartbroken I wasn't able to come back and actually take time to stay and watch... Had a lovely chat with the employees who welcomed us warmly and gave us a tour even if we had told them we couldn't stay. Highly, highly recommend stopping by.

Me and my friend have tried the new royal cinema since its reopening for the first time and we love it the decor looks amazing and has been restored with alot of love thank u the sofas r so comfy and relaxing also nice to have a bar so u can enjoy a drink other than pop

What a wonderful evening in a gorgeous place. We live withing minutes of the cinema and have been so excited to see the new cinema and we were wowed! All the staff were amazing. Jaime behind the bar was so helpful and then we stopped and chatted to the staff after the film. Cang wait to come back for the dirty dancing night and fingers crossed thd list boys night. Thank you for a wonderful evening 😊 💕

Well done to the new owners for restoring this beautiful building and preserving the art deco style. The sofas are beautiful and super comfortable and will hopefully withstand the test of time! Delighted to support this venture and hope that the town will too. Friendly and helpful staff. Good luck!

What an amazing job they have done to the cinema. Giving a luxury vibe with reclining seats on the back row but then other rows have a foot rest to really relax. Staff were so happy and helpful. The guy at the bar really loved his job. We had a good 5 minute conversation with him about all the work that had gone into it.
Amazing value for money too at under £10 a ticket. I can totally understand why they are taking outside food off people as it will not survive with selling extras.

Great first visit to the new Royal Cinema today first class seating comfy big chairs and sofas ..incredibly friendly staff ..no cash payments at food etc though please note especially if children go alone ..but we’ll done all

Myself and my Mum went to see Twisters yesterday at this beautiful new cinema… It was beyond our expectations and the attention to detail in the building work and decoration was exceptional! We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and will definitely be returning!

My first reaction wow 👌, very nice.

Went to The Royal cinema tonight after years to see Deadpool. It was a complete delight, loved the decor, artwork and comfy stylish sofas. It is great to have the cinema reopen its doors. The whole experience was modern yet nostalgic as I have had many memories at this cinema and felt emotional when I heard it was reopening. I absolutely love the bar at the top of the stairs and the gentleman who was on there with the blonde hair was very smiley and approachable to all customers as they passed. Well done to all of the staff, I will certainly be returning and supporting The Royal cinema.

What a great venue and cinema experience. Obviously restored with love, maintaining the art deco architecture and feel. The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make it a good night. And to top it all the price was good. Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit. Nice refurbished cinema. I never been here before but I visited it now because I saw it on Birmingham news online. It reminds me a bit of The Everyman in town but with an art deco touch. I took one star off as I thought it was done up and ready to go. However there were builders still working at the front doing and going in out the screens. No opening times on when it would be open or signs, so I was a bit confused when building work was still happening. I thought I made a mistake a first.

Fantastic. The recent full refurbishment by the new owners is exceptional and has beautifully returned this cinema to its original art deco best but with modern quality seats with foot stools, recliners, doubles etc. Returned last night for the first time in 10 years and was so impressed with the place. Staff all great as well. Highly recommended!!

Visited for opening weekend, the seats were really comfy and spacious! The ticket prices were good as well (unlike other cinemas so i havnt been elsewhere for years). Will definately visit again!!
