Myself and 2 friends came last night to watch Wicked for my birthday ,and even the glitch on the film when it went blank didn't stop us enjoying every minute of it. They sorted problem within a minute or 2 . The cocktails are to die for 2 for £16 we had the Glinda one loved every drop. Would definitely recommend the Sutton Coldfield Cinema for all your films .

The cinema is really good. Fantastic value and really comfortable sofas to watch the film on. Steve the usher was so helpful and friendly, couldn't help us enough. We will definitely travel to visit again.

An Incredible Cinema, I remember being so saddened when it closed a few years ago, back when it was the Empire Cinema, as I had so many fond memories of visiting it as a kid. But in the long run, it's intial closure has lead to better things, as it has risen like a phoenix from the ashes, providing a far better atmosphere and experience than a few years ago. It has been restored to it's Art Deco decor from how it looked in it's heyday in the 1930s, all the seats are super comfortable and have recliner options, the staff are warm, friendly and helpful, all that and it has lower ticket prices than many of it's competitors. Without a doubt, this will defintely be my go to Cinema in future :)

First visit to newly reopened cinema was a few days ago. My wife is a huge Paddington fan and wanted to see new movie.
Booked tickets online and discovered they have a seniors discount price which came as a nice surprise so booked a 3rd ticket for my mother in law, sadly recently widowed.
On arrival, my ticket was scanned (my wife and her mom were already there) and I was directed to the correct screen (Screen 1). On that level there is a small nicely appointed bar and having taken an order from my wife and mother in law, the very friendly young man told me about the offers available, a very subtle but welcome upsell, nicely done young man!
The theatre seats were fantastic, wide, comfortable, well spaced out and complete with foot rest stools, a nice touch.
The cinematic experience was top notch, great visuals and sound, superb viewing from our chosen seats.
All in all a lovely experience from start to finish and with discounted tickets available for some days on top of already keenly priced Seniors fees, I am certain to be visiting the cinema a lot more in the future than I have done so in the past

We visited the Royal today for the 1st time since it's reopening, and all I can say is WOW!
It's quite incredible how they have transformed the old cinema whilst keeping it's soul and spirit from its past! I've got to thank Steve for being so friendly and professional when we arrived, he truly is a credit to the new place!

What a brilliant experience at the Royal Cinema. The decor and atmosphere is amazing. Special shoutout to Finlay who was absolutely amazing when it came to assisting us and serving us. He’s so polite and helpful especially when it came to informing us about upcoming events. Thank you! All round a brilliant experience!

Absolutely love this cinema. They have done a beautiful job with the renovations and made it feel like a destination.
The prices for a ticket are incredibly reasonable. Around £10 for an adult on a Saturday night, which makes it a very affordable occasion. With those prices, the luxurious setting and comfortable seats, I wouldn't go elsewhere.
Price of popcorn is also fair. An extra large is around £6.50 which is more than enough for 2 adults.

Love the comfy seats, sound and film good. Only complaint not a good variety of sweets and a little overpriced, but then most cinema s are. Would go again. Staff were helpful

Absolutely fantastic cinema, took my son and my partner for my partner's birthday to see Red One. I haven't been to this type of cinema before, but I went there many years ago when it was the Odeon. The seats were very comfortable, the toilets were clean, even the mens! The whole place was very clean throughout. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, Steve who served us was such a gentleman too.
Overall a fantastic experience and we're already planning our return. If you're a cinema lover, look no further this is the perfect cinema, apparently there's a bar too so next time we'll come when the child is in school.

Fantastic! brilliant! historical! I visited the Royal cinema for the first time since it was renovated and was blown away by the way it’s been brought back to life. I remember when it was the Odeon, then it was a complete dump, now it’s got to be one of the best cinemas I’ve been to in a very long time and definitely the best in the north Birmingham area! The staff were also really friendly, I have to give a shout out to Steve who ID checked my wife and I when I asked for the over 60’s concession as he couldn’t believe our ages, the prices are really good value even without the concessions compared to other cinemas of a similar type.
We went into screen one and couldn’t believe how luxurious it was, we sat on the back row where we had the reclining seats with leg rests and cup holders. I am so looking forward to my next visit!
Well done to everyone who made the effort to save the cinema and give Sutton Coldfield the quality cinema it deserves!

Went today and had a lovely time. Seats in Screen 2 were so comfy and it was nice to snuggle up to my daughter on the two-seater sofa to watch Red One.
Food and drink costs were standard for a cinema really although we found the large popcorn size a little smaller than other places.
My daughter was picking up all the sound devices with her phone and the quality of both sound and picture were excellent.
We will definitely be back.

First time visiting , very impressed , as soon as we walked in was greeted by Steve who helped my daughter with her dolls pram down the stairs and made her feel really special. I had made an error with the booking but the gentleman behind the counter was so lovely and fixed it for me. Staff Wer smiling and friendly , the Paddington special popcorn and drink deal was good.
The sofas were so comfy. Will be definitely going back. Thanks for making our mommy and daughter day off to a great start x

It’s very good well arranged. We really appreciate the seating arrangement. The sofa like seats provide great comfort.
The sound system is also very good and dynamic. Screen 2 and 3 probably looks a bit smaller in the beginning but once the movie starts it really suits the environment.
The staff members are well mannered and very friendly.
Overall we are very pleased. The location is super convenient as well.

Absolutely love the fact that someone has invested in Sutton Coldfield and will help to rebuild our community! The refurbishment is good and it is now a pleasure to go and watch a film without having your feet stick to the floor!! The prices are good too!! Please help and support this precious amenity .....

First time visit today since they refurbished and can honestly say how fabulous it is inside, lots of art deco fittings and nice and comfy seats inside the foyer and upstairs, where there's a bar too.
The cinema room, lovely furnishings and 2 seater couches as well as armchairs.
Cannot recommend this cinema highly enough. Will definitely be going again.
