The Royal is truly a comfortable place to visit. Seating is so comfy you can relax really easy. The team are always really helpful. Always worth planning a visit on your nights out, you'll be back again and again!
They've niw included 3D which is fantastic!! Great prices too.
There is also a mystery screening on 2nd January. Nobody knows apart from the managers what it is. A brilliant idea!

First visit today and we really enjoyed the experience. Staff were very welcoming.

It's beautiful, so comfortable. I went into the disabled screening, but I think it's ridiculous that you have stairs to go up into the cinema, and then you have to walk downstairs to get to the screening rooms.

We have been to this Cinema several times. We have always enjoyed our trip . From the friendly staff to the comfortable seats . Well worth a visit

Came to the polar express showing for Christmas, kids in pjs and hot chocolates given out before we go in. They did a fun game at the start catching snowballs and whoever caught one came to the front to spin the wheel to win a prize! Really lovely atmosphere staff were fab! After the film kids went outside and they had a snow machine, Santa and grinch lots of fun would do it again next year!!! Kids had so much fun!

I attended a Christmas screening of polar express with my family and it's was fantastic. My daughter's enjoyed every second of it and was truly brilliant event. Congratulations on a very well run and enjoyable experience

I’ve been coming to this cinema for over 50 years. My childhood memories were of Saturday mornings with Walt Disney cartoons & Flash Gordon episodes. I’m so so happy this iconic cinema is still around & refurbished to such a high standard. I bought my now adult daughter to see the back to back Wicked movies last night…epic experience.. but not just the movies…the ambiance of the whole cinema…the amazing staff…the seating…little home touches with the foot stools in screen room 1…everything has a personal touch which we both loved. Thank you Royal Cinema owners & staff for carrying the baton & giving us all such a fabulous experience…there were lots of tears but all good ones 🥰

The revamp of this cinema is just great! It looks very stylish, and such a great improvement.
I found the sofas, Screen 3, very uncomfortable, no way of resting my head, I rolled up my scarf to put behind my neck in an attempt to get more comfortable. I also thought it was quite cold. It's a shame because the potential is huge.
Didn't have anything to eat or drink, but others were eating popcorn, you could hear, and tell because some bits were left on the seats when we were leaving!
I'd visit again but I'd bring things to sort out the problems I had. I would also chose to sit further back next time.

Love this cinema. The seats are amazing and risk missing the film falling asleep. And ifs got a fully functional bar too upstairs to turn up a little earlier and have a drink before the film

First visit last week and went again today. This is a wonderful place. Seats are so comfy and spacious. The decor is beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Will certainly visit on a regular basis from now on to support this amazing local venue. Will visit one evening or weekend soon so we can have a drink in the upstairs bar.
