Switched to Wardale from another optician in town who were unable to correctly diagnose an issue in my right eye. After my initial eye test my eyes were scanned (with equipment the other optician did not have at the time) and the issue was finally revealed (to my relief). Have been using them ever since, friendly staff and good service. Recently been in to have my spectales adjusted, always happy to help. Thanks.

My wife went to pick her glasses up this morning,she took my Ray-Ban sunglasses with her as arm had come a drift ,repaired gave them back didn’t charge . Excellent service highly recommend 👍

As always the optician I saw a couple of weeks ago was excellent, very thorough.
Collected new glasses, which were fitted well for comfort.

A wonderful team that are able to sort out the trickiest of visual issues and I should know!! I’m now able to wear varifocals after much perseverance & help from them. They always have a smile and enjoy being there to help, thank you all

Went to Wardale Williams to have my sunglasses repaired. Although I have never used them before, Amanda and Graham were very helpful and repaired my sunglasses while I waited. The charge was very minimal, so thank you very much for this service, which I believe only independent businesses can provide.

I always have confidence in the sight care given to me at Wardale Williams. I had an emergency appointment, and was then referred to a hospital Eye Clinic. I first came to Wardale Williams when we moved from Braintree to Sudbury in October 1981. I only had reading glasses then. As the time went on, and my eyesight changed, I had many different pairs of glasses and got on very well with them. More recently my sight has got much worse as cataracts had developed. I had these removed in Ipswich 31st January and 1st March, 2023. I had about 8 weeks where I had no glasses as my eyes had to heal, but I went into Wardale Williams to see Holly, the optician, who, after looking at my eyes, said that I could now get new glasses. So these were ordered and I went in to Wardale Williams last Tuesday 18th April to collect my new prescriptions. I had decided to keep my last frames as I had only had them a year ago in January 2022, and I checked with Amanda to see if I could keep my varifocals. She said that the frames were still in good condition, so she sent them off to receive the new reading prescription, plus a little bit of magnification to be put in the top part of the glasses. So Amanda fitted my glasses and checked that they were right for me and that I was happy with them. Since I have been coming to Wardale Williams and in particular since Amanda has been fitting new frames and recommending a type of frame or colour etc. I have always come away happy with my choice. So I feel that I should say a big thank you to the staff at Wardale Williams for always doing their best to please their customers and to make them feel special. Well done, one and all.

I've been going here since 1977 and I have always been delighted. Only once as an adult have I bought glasses elsewhere, when we lived in Devon, and I could never see properly through them!
Nowadays my eyesight is more complicated than many which comes with advancing years (and weight) but the same good advice is coming through.
Don't mess with your eyes, nothing worse than headaches and eyestrain!

Visited Wardale Williams Optician Tuesday 10th January 2023 for my annual eye test and spectacles review. This Opticians is fully professional, the receptionist went thought the registration procedure in a few minutes and guided me to the Optician (Holly) who performed a detailed test of my eyes explaining the equipment and results in a clear concise manner ensuring that I understood all aspects of the eye examination and sight test. Following the eye test I met up with Kirsty who deals with glasses frames which was particularly convenient as it was Kirsty that helped me with my current frames early 2022. We discussed at length current styles that suit me and Kirsty’s advice was invaluable. I will be making a purchase in the near future. All in all visiting this Opticians is a great experience without any pressure and from entering the Opticians to leaving I felt it was all about me and what was best. Very Satisfied Customer and a well deserved 5 star review. Followed up with a visit to Wardale Williams on Friday 3rd March 2023 for the Moscot Spectacles Event and enjoyed reviewing many pairs of Moscot Spectacles with the help of Kirsty (Wardale Williams) and Tim (Moscot). A great event and an opportunity to see close up the various styles of glasses by Moscot. Made my purchases and I am extremely happy with the choices of frames and lenses available, thank you for inviting me to the Moscot Event and helping me with my choice of new glasses. 5 star.
