Simply cannot get a nicer dining experience than The Crown. We had a large table of family for Sunday lunch and we were well catered for. Sat us promptly on arrival and quickly took a drinks order. ‘While we wait’ bread arrived freshly baked, along with a delicious Garlic Butter and enjoyed by everyone. On to the Mains which we enjoyed with something of everything off the menu! I had incredible slices of Roast Beef, other members of our party had a melt in-the-mouth Roast pork, delicious Roast Chicken and the vegetarian option of the stuffed mushroom. All served with a huge Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and then bowls full of delicious vegetables all along the table - with at least 3 varieties on each bowl! Extra gravy duly brought to us, along with whatever sauces we requested. Absolutely delicious and cannot be faulted at all, high class food, not some cheap microwave food. And dessert was delicious, I had a particularly tasty white chocolate and raspberry baked cheesecake which came with a very tasty raspberry sorbet, my family members chose from the chocolate tart or ice cream and some others chose a freshly prepared coffee instead. The staff were very friendly, engaged with us all, from the young children to our Aunt who’d turned 90! The waitresses were helpful without being over-the-top and we felt very looked after. Cannot recommend this fantastic High end Country pub highly enough!

Brilliant location, food is a limited menu in my opinion so not everyone ate in our party, but still excellent quality food, i would like to emphasise that, those of use that ate had 0 complaints about, and brilliant atmosphere. I only give 4 stars as they don't except cash and if your paying by phone the mobile signal is hit and miss.
Still worth visiting and a lovely garden in the back.
P.s, there is a stream at the back so excellent place to bike to or walk

Nice building in a nice setting. There is a nice lawn at the back with a play area. But (and perhaps only to me is this a But) it is definitely a restaurant with a bar rather than a pub that serves food

The Crown is in a beautiful, quiet, quintessentially English village (think gorgeous cottages around a village green). We (2 adults, 12 yr old and 9 yr old) ate lunch on a sunny day in The Crown's large garden. Nice play area for 12 year olds and under. We enjoyed pizzas and two meals from the lunch menu.

Enjoyable evening with Mrs P. We both had the Guan beef curry with Naan bread which was very tasty. I enjoyed the best bitter and Mrs P enjoyed Sauvignon blanc. Good service and clean toilets. Recommended.

We went for Sunday lunch and the Food was really good however service was all round incredibly slow - waited 15 minutes for a drinks order to be taken and then another 15 minutes for the round of drinks to actually arrive. Food took a very long time to come out as well. The room we were placed in was also very loud and crowded and so was unfortunately was difficult to have conversation until later in the afternoon when people started leaving.

We have eaten here 3 times now after hearing such good things and they have not disappointed us, wonderful food and friendly professional service. What a fabulous team! Although it’s a short drive from home this is now our go-to for a bite and drink. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here, family occasion, couldn't have been better. The food is next-level, you would pay a lot for this in London. A lot of review mention roasts - we didn't have that (wasn't Sunday?) but these people have other talents too, with delicious results! Service was just right - not in-your-face but always there when needed, friendly staff. Comfortable dining chairs. Good wine. Plenty of car-parking, lots of outside space for those sunny days. Go and try it, thank me later!

Booked well in advance for a table. Arrived and took over 20 mins to be served and seated, on to find two of the main meals unavailable so no white meat or fish at all. This was a real disappointment after early booking for a special occasion.

Just happened on this well hidden delightful pub. We had starters to share they were large and delicious.
We sat outside but the building is spacious yet snug. Hope to go back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- 5 stars all round

As our local pub we visit regularly but this time it was a little bit more special.
Tonight was our last time dining before our table of two turns into a table of three. And the charming ambiance made it that little bit more memorable.

We really love dining here. From the moment we arrived until we left, everything was impeccable. I appreciate the team for putting together such a good experience. The food was delicious as always. We are already looking forward to our next visit with the new addition.

Thank you for another really enjoyable lunch and experience today. The team are really friendly and welcoming. The pub is in a beautiful village and beautifully presented inside and out. They’ve just got it right here, incredibly good quality restaurant standard food, yet have kept the charm and relaxed atmosphere of a village pub. The detail is noticed, quality napkins, the way the cutlery is presented, branded bottles for the complimentary still/sparkling water, nicely presented menus and beautifully presented food. The food is clearly freshly prepared by experienced chefs, and always tastes superb! The real ale is made at their local Bury St. Edmonds pub and offers a good selection of quality real ale. Looking forward to coming back again very soon.
Thank you for making our experience a good one.

Met family and friends for lunch. Lovely pub in a very pretty location. Nice to see that it’s dog friendly. We had a couple of drinks in a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was excellent. I had fish and chips and have to say, it was the best battered fish I have ever had. The batter was crisp and light, the fish was moist, succulent and plentiful.
Thanks to the kitchen and bar staff!
