I've been here a few times but live miles away now and I really do miss it! If I ever do go back to Sudbury or anywhere near it, i'll make to go in! Great food, coffee and service!

Due to a chance coffee on Saturday morning, I asked about a Cheese and Wine tasting evening that was going on at davids Wine bar, The Cheese selected by our host and the wine by Dominic Hentall.
What a supprise and a real treat. Turned up on my own to find many familliar faces, settled down with some old friends. The chesses came in four courses (Two shown here). I thought to small, but actually more than enough along with 8 wines! Looked after exceptionally well by David, Trish, Dominic and Team.
A very happy and convivial evening cant wait for the next one - Thank you.

My first visit, and I was really impressed. The tables are well spaced, so it never feels crowded. The food is really good and very reasonably priced. Good coffee, too. The deli sells all sorts of cheeses, so I'll probably be tempted next time I visit!

This is the place to recover from xmas shopping. Excellent Tea - I recommend the Ceylon, and coffee - cappuccino with froth to the bottom. The toasted tea cakes were just the fresh spicey flavour they should be. Quality newspapers and unhurried friendly atmosphere was just the ticket and completed the revitalising experience.

Adult friendly (no kids) comfortable and relaxing brasserie type cafe serving well prepared light meals and breakfasts- the scrambled egg and smoked salmon is a triumph...no children rule means guaranteed peace and quiet and folk can often be seen reading papers and books in absolute serene relaxation....David and staff are a welcome change to the so called Barista culture of other nnearby establishments and he has a loyal and trusted clientele who savour this oasis of calm......

I decided to pay David's a visit .
A friendly warm welcome , clean comfy table & chairs , a paper and a hot latte was fabulous .
The peace & quiet was so needed .
For any mummy or daddy needing a bit of adult space & peace I would highly recommend David's !!.
Sometimes we all just need some time out & a good bit of adult banter :)

David's is a little gem. His fresh food is prepared with care and is good value for money.
I recommend that you will never feel rushed. The atmosphere is calm and serene; perfect for a laid back breakfast, brunch, lunch or late lunch. I could happily stay there all day!

The food - open steak sandwich, tuna/egg salad with crushed potatoes - was lovingly prepared and delicious. However we were bemused as to why it took almost an hour for us to be served. This was particularly surprising as there were only a handful of people in the cafe during the time we were there. The waiting staff were friendly and welcoming. Howeve anyone wishing to take a lunch break from work would almost certainly have given up and gone elsewhere.

Had a lovely lunch there today. Just a prawn sandwich, but it was so fresh and tasty, served with some crisps. The coffee was freshly brewed and great. Prices were good, £3.95 for the sandwich and £2.20 for the coffee/biscuit on the side. Service was just right, not pushy or rushed, just right. Even the toilets were lovely bright and clean. Couldn't fault a thing, will be going back again soon.

Had pleasure of eating delicious sandwiches in this Deli yesterday - never tasted such a juicy prawn sandwich before - loaded with them. Will certainly be returning to that neck of the woods.

The best coffee in the country! I love an smericano, black no sugar and this is perfect. Strong but not bitter and just the right amount of hot water! This is a lovely place we always go to when in Sudbury, Service is friendly but not rushed so don't go if you're in a hurry! Really lovely cheese (sandwiches and salads) particularly the blue cheese and walnut salad. Haven't tried the breakfasts but they look good. If the deli meats are to the same standard as the cheese then any carnivores will be well catered for! They discourage children here so the atmosphere is quiet and civilised and their are books and magazines a plenty to peruse. Unfortunately we are always driving or we'd try some of the delicious wine! A hidden gem and we wish we could be one of the local "regulars" here!

They we so welcoming that I returned with my husband a few days later for breakfast. Once again we were welcomed by staff and met David the owner, great guy. Coffee amazing, food simple, tasty and freshly prepared.David's is a relaxing place to have coffee and meet up with friends and at the weekend opens as a wine bar.

I really enjoyed my visit here. It doesn't matter if you are on your own because there are daily papers you can sit and read and once you have placed your order you can sit and wait for it to be delivered. Perfectly clean and tidy as were the toilet facilities.

we always have lunch here when we visit. The food is excellent from a limited menu. The owner is very friendly a knowledgable about wine and cheese and the bistro/cafe reflects this. Nice place and atmosphere. Also sells cheese and wine - got a wonderful bargain of excellent cheddar.

We enjoyed a most delightful evening with exceptionally kind and friendly service and absolutely perfect food. The limited menu (thank goodness!) was thoughtfully put together and cooked by David who obviously cares passionately and knowledgeably about fine food and wine. The portions were appropriate - not hugely over facing so we enjoyed three courses, including a personal cheese board chosen especially for us. The service from Trish was warm and friendly. We shall definitely visit again....and again. Thank you.
