What makes our Shrewsbury magazine different?

Yes, there's a new magazine in Shrewsbury. It's ours.

Well, I say "new" but we're actually working on Issue 3 (Jan-Mar) of In The Know. Some said it was crazy launching a new business in the current climate but whenever is there a right time? There'll always be something that crops up to challenge you.

What makes our magazine different?

There's a whole bunch of magazines out there at the moment, so I thought I'd highlight why ours stands out - for both readers and featured businesses:

1) It's over-sized A5 and perfect bound -

the quality of a "proper" magazine but easy to pop into your bag and take out and about with you.

2) FSC accredited paper and 130gsm -

sustainably sourced and thick, basically.... It's important to be green these days, and the paper thickness means no shoddy see-through.

3) MAHOOSIVE distribution in Shrewsbury -

In The Know is local to Shrewsbury rather than the whole county. And we have 10,000 copies printed and distributed. These are GENUINE figures. What's the point of appearing in a magazine that looks nice but only a couple of thousand are printed?

4) Long shelf life -

as In The Know is quarterly, it's around - and more relevant - for a longer period than most magazines.

5) Engaging and informative content -

'how to' columns, top tips, advice on everything from fitness to facebook and setting up in business. Rather than just tell a story, our contributors want to engage with you - the reader - and give you food for thought or action.

6) We're really fussy -

we've been in media for a long, long time and are particular about great copy and great design. It's always a shame when a nice article or advertisement is spoilt by typos or poor grammar.

7) IT'S FREE!

Copies of the current edition (Oct-Dec) are still available from The Bellstone, Shrewsbury Town FC, Theatre Severn, Old Market Hall Cinema, Salop Leisure and the Rural Enterprise Centre. Or you can view it online at:
