The personal injury team at Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors has been restructured in order to ensure quality legal advice, and support, is readily available across the firm’s offices throughout Shropshire and Herefordshire.

Partner Neil Lorimer heads this talented team of lawyers who offer expertise in all types of accident claims, including catastrophic injuries and industrial disease.  Over the past 12 months the team have recovered damages in excess of £8million.  This figure includes settlements for severe injuries such as brain injury, spinal injury and amputations as well as fatal claims, being made up of awards ranging from several thousand pounds through to those in excess of £1million.

Associate solicitor Debbie Humphries, assisted by Karen Clarke, now oversees the services offered to clients in Telford and East Shropshire, her team continue to hold a weekly drop-in clinic at the firm’s offices in Wellington.  This clinic, which is free to attend and offers parking and disabled access, takes place every Friday between 2pm and 4pm.

Associate solicitor Dawn Humphries leads the Oswestry team working alongside Jane Miles who joins the department.  Dawn is a specialist in accidents at work and industrial disease cases.  A similar free drop in clinic will be held at the Lanyon Bowdler office in Oswestry.

In South Shropshire and Herefordshire, Associate solicitor Claire Vale will head the team.  She will work alongside Lucy Small and is joined by Louise Howard.  Louise was admitted as a solicitor in September having completed her training contract through Lanyon Bowdler’s nationally recognised Trainee Solicitor Scheme.  She is the twenty fourth solicitor currently at Lanyon Bowdler, who has been retained following admission.

Neil Lorimer, Claimant Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year 2009, assisted by the returning solicitor Gayle Kinsey, will continue to advise clients in catastrophic injury and  accident abroad cases.

Neil says “The growth of the firm has resulted in the team covering a wide geographical area; this restructuring will ensure clients continue to receive the very best level of service delivered to their doorsteps.”
