Shropshire law firm, Lanyon Bowdler has continued the expansion of its Clinical Negligence Department with the addition of three legal assistants.
Beth Harrison, David Pugh and Julia Rutter joined the firm, which is headed up in Shrewsbury, in March and will be providing assistance to head of department Paula Nash and her talented team. Both Beth and David have also successfully secured training contracts with the firm commencing in September 2012.
The highly specialised clinical negligence team already comprises a number of very experienced solicitors, legal executives and support staff. An in-house nurse, together with the support of a registered GP, completes the team able to provide first class legal advice to victims of medical negligence. Four of the team are members on the Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel and two the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. The firm is also on the approved list of Solicitors for Headway the Brain Injury Charity, and CBIT, the Child Brain Injury Trust.
The department’s continued expansion is testament to the team’s reputation for excellent service and specialist knowledge. The 2011 edition of leading legal directory, The Legal 500 acknowledges that the department is on the approved list for Headway and Child Brain Injury Trust, and that it is handling over 200 active claims ranging in value from £30,000 to £7m.

In addition, Paula also received recognition from legal directory Chambers UK in their 2012 edition, making reference to Paula being “absolutely superb” and praised for her “detailed knowledge of clinical negligence” and the good outcomes she has achieved for clients.
Having been shortlisted for the Lawyer National Partner of the Year Awards in 2011 Paula Nash was also a finalist in the Partner of the Year category at the recent Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards.
