Food and drink from across the heart of England region is adding an artisan twist to menus at House of Fraser - including the Shrewsbury store.
The ‘Made in Britain, Loved by You’ menu is available in over 40 Café Zest and restaurants within House of Fraser stores across the country until the end of September.
Five heart of England regional producers were selected to have products featured on this delicious summer menu which is available regionally in House of Fraser stores in Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Leamington Spa, Shrewsbury, Telford and Cheltenham.
Adlingtons, Balsall Common, Warwickshire, feature in two dishes with its high welfare turkey and chicken; Oak smoked Warwickshire turkey with crispy leaves and zesty lemon crème fraiche sandwich and Torn Warwickshire chicken salad with lemon and English mustard dressing. The salad dressing is provided by Just Oil, Rugeley, Staffordshire, using a base of their home-grown rapeseed oil.
Coopers Gourmet Sausage Rolls, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, produce The ‘Full English’ gourmet sausage roll, served with chunky chips and tomato sauce and the Oven baked jacket, with garlic mushrooms is topped with Marches Farmhouse Blue cheese from the Shropshire Cheese Company, Oswestry.
Non-alcoholic drinks from Story Brands, Codsall, Staffordshire, will also be available to quench the thirst whilst enjoying a delicious British lunch.
Local food group HEART of ENGLAND fine foods (HEFF) worked with Massarella Catering Group Ltd through the HEFF Trading Desk to help source local products suitable for this campaign.
HEFF, which is based at the Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre in Shrewsbury, held a Meet the Buyer meeting so Massarella could meet with producers and discuss opportunities.
The HEFF Trading Desk team took all the administrative hassle out of the local sourcing process by handling all the ordering and invoicing on behalf of Massarella.
