Santa Claus has made an early delivery to Shrewsbury Town Football Club to ensure that players and staff have a tree-mendous Christmas.

Love Plants, based at caravan and motorhome dealership Salop Leisure’s Shrewsbury headquarters, captured the growing festive mood by donating six Nordmann Fir Christmas trees to the club.

The trees will be placed at the Montgomery Waters Meadow Stadium and at Shrewsbury Town in the Community’ base.

Players Sean Goss and Fejiri Okenabirhie, who have their sights set on a good run in the Sky Bet League One over the busy festive season, were waiting at the stadium to accept the trees from Salop Leisure’s marketing assistant Nikki Jardine.

Love Plants is all set for a busy December with sales of Christmas trees, wreaths, decorations and plants in full swing. Meanwhile, parent company Salop Leisure is pulling out all the stops with an exciting festive programme.

The Salop Christmas Adventure includes a synthetic skating rink, Santa’s Grotto and afternoon teas with Santa. A Santa and Elf Dash attracted 280 adults and children on Sunday and a Shropshire Handmade and Creative Christmas Gift Fair saw more than 10,000 visitors the previous weekend.
