Shrewsbury Town Council is once again opening its doors to community groups, clubs, and charities across the town — inviting them to apply for the latest round of community grant funding.
The Council’s grant scheme supports local organisations that make a real difference to life in Shrewsbury, helping them to launch new projects, sustain vital services, or secure matched funding for wider initiatives. Whether it’s improving community facilities, supporting young people, promoting wellbeing, or protecting the environment — the Council wants to hear from groups that are working hard to make Shrewsbury an even better place to live.
Jamie Daniels, Chair of the Communities & Environments Committee, said:
“Each year, we’re inspired by the creativity and commitment shown by the many local organisations that serve our community. These grants give groups the chance to turn great ideas into action — whether that’s through events, improvements to facilities, or projects that bring people together. We’re proud to support the people and organisations who help make Shrewsbury such a vibrant and welcoming place.”
To be eligible, organisations must be formally constituted (with a Constitution or Set of Rules), have a bank account, and hold Public Liability Insurance. Applications must demonstrate how the project will directly benefit the residents of Shrewsbury.
All applications will be assessed on their individual merits. Grant requests for more than £3,000 are unlikely to be successful.
Deadline for applications: Tuesday 11th November 2025 (by 1pm)
Successful applicants notified: following the Communities & Environments Committee meeting on Wednesday 3rd December 2025
