Shrewsbury solicitor demonstrates dedication to child law

A local firm of solicitors is commending the expertise of a long-standing member of its family team after their reaccreditation on a prestigious panel dedicated to supporting and representing children in complex legal cases.

Sarah Jane Smith, Family Solicitor at Shropshire-based PCB Solicitors is marking 18 years on The Law Society’s Children’s Panel after successfully being reaccredited last month, a role which sees her use her specialist expertise to advise on law relating to children.

Sarah was initially granted the endorsement by The Law Society in 1997 and every five years she is independently and rigorously assessed on her consistency and professionalism in the area of children law, whether in private law proceedings or in public law proceedings issued by the local authority.  In her role, Sarah specialises in all types of children’s legal work, including child arrangement orders, care proceedings and adoption matters, as well as supporting parents, relatives or carers where children are considered to be at ‘risk’.
